Imma be real, I never bothered with the dollar menu. My fat ass wanted the big burgers and fries. But also I havent eaten at McDonald's since the Arch Deluxe was a thing. I miss it. The Arch Deluxe, I mean, not McDonalds.
My biggest concern is how we are going to survive all these financial and political crises, especially the power struggle in the US. The government has really made things difficult for its citizens and we cannot just sit by and suffer the consequences of bad governance...,,
I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of information can be a big hurdle. I've been making more than $21k passively by just going into crypto investment, and I don't have to do much work. Inflation or no inflation, my finances remain secure. So I really don't blame people who panic.
I am new to the crypto world and don't understand how it really works. A friend told me trading with a professional trader is the best strategy for beginners and busy investors, but for months now I've been making so research and haven't found any.please any recommendations
I remember back in the early 2000s, before my friend had a steady job, wed drive to the Burger King drive through to get dinner. He'd order two $1 King Supremes and a water.
In that same time frame I had a friend who got a job at Burger King. He'd let me know when he was working & I'd have my dad take me through the drive through only ordering a single thing. That friend would "hook us up" with bags & bags of free food, manager didn't care because he was having a "relationship" with her 😅
The best thing to happen from COVID was: all the junk food became expensive & slow. Fast food is impulse buy and the minute you make it tedious bad customer service and outrageous prices while making things smaller you kill all desire at least for me and others Im sure.
When I can go to a grocery store, get a frozen product, come home and microwave it, and it's cheaper than fast food, tastes better, is ready quicker, and deal with less unpleasant people, that's a bad sign for "fast" food.
I second this. In the years since COVID, fast food is neither fast nor as enjoyable as it used to be. And a lot of the underdogs began closing up shop since they couldn't keep up with the industry leaders. But here's the big killer - if I can buy all the stuff I need to make a good hamburger at 1/5 the price of fast food, sure I sacrificed time to make it and had to do dishes. But it was cheaper, and tasted better. That's all anybody could ask for.
I vaguely recall back in the mid-90s my local McD had 29¢ hamburger Tuesdays. I would order sackfuls of them plain and microwave them later over the course of the week.
Fun fact. Here in Denmark McDs dollar menu is called coinoffers. So in theory they can set the price to whatever they like. It will end up being 1000 coins or whatever.
Raise in prices in fast food is because the people with the big bucks panicked at the thought of having to lose money and decided to make customers cover the costs instead of risking taking the loss.
RE: Five Guys ... I don't get them often but if I ever have a chance to splurge, I will happily pay the extra cost for Five Guys burgers and fries. I've hit a point in my life where most fast food burgers actually make my physically ill, and Five Guys is one of the few chains where I can get a burger and not throw it up hours later. I'm not totally sure what it is about most fast food chains' burgers that make me so sick but when I find one that doesn't, I keep it in mind.
53:45 I miss the Oriental flavor 😢 tbhq is also found in so many foods from Reese's to prepackaged main dishes, it a chemical that is a byproduct of the production of propane 😮
Back when the mc chicken or mc double, fries and a drink were both $2.99!! When we were in High School during the Summer for a couple weeks the Big Mac was only $.99 ( at least in San Diego). Arbys beef and cheddars 5 for $5!! Man, those were the best times to be alive
So ... the guy that invented Ramen bricks was as near penniless as any point in his life. Keeping poor people alive since he opened his business. Most of us have had Ramen times in our life. I currently have many cases ready for an emergency situation.
Wait, it’s not a person? How can I get it? I want that voice to narrate whatever I’m watching every time I get a snack because this voice makes me hungry
White castle here in Saint Louis was at one time the value meal king. You got the most for the least. Today, WC is no different than any other FFPlace. Giving the least for the highest price. I rarely eat at fast food places, and when I do, it’s never at WC because they are! The least food for the highest price today. I will almost always watch these beginning to end. But almost two hours is to long.
Cheapest burger in Chinada is just under $5 for a JR Mc Chicken or a (JR) Mc Double. The only place left is Wendy's where you can get a JR. Hamburger deluxe for less than $2. $5 for small fries at A&W. Costco still has the $1.50 hot dog, but you don't have the condiments anymore. You get mustard and ketchup packets if you ask them... and with our DEI hires, the SUCK testicles now. Feeding a family of 4 at most of our fast food places by ordering a 'value meal' will cost $50+, with the exception of Wendy's. Maybe $35... depending on what you order.
Only 50 usd for Balsamic Vinegar? Hate to tell you but that's CHEAP for that stuff...also do NOT tell people whole milk is the same as what you buy in most stores...even internationally those are completely different and again 20 usd is CHEAP for that. Take that milk and sell cheese, you HAVE to use whole milk when making nearly all types of cheese and you can sell that for a profit even since it's fairly easy to make...so long as you can actually get whole milk. :| I don't live in the US and know those are low...that vinegar goes for more than TWICE that regularly in other countries before you look at the really "fancy" varieties of it. Heck that's fairly normal for here in Japan too.
It's right on the label that they are Kosher. I work in a grocery store and those items are literally in my section. I see the labels all day every day.
53:27 i appreciate this type of AI proofing tangent, in a time where youtube algorithm is constantly recommending me some AI regurgitated content that is so obviously ripped off from existing videos.
You're paying more for the same meal, but with less food(burgers and drinks got smaller), and they can never seem to get you order right. McDonald's has been the worst for that in my area, I don't eat there anymore. Now I go to A&W, or Dairy Queen, which is kind of expensive as well, but not as expensive, and has bigger portions, with better quality.
I have had McDonald's 1 time since they got rid of the dollar menu. It's was not worth the money. I always got a McChicken, double cheese burger, large sweet tea, and a large fry. The large fry was the only thing that wasn't on the dollar menu, and it was only like a $1.20 or something. Under $5 including tax. That got me through most of my brock ass 20's.
Cup Noodles weren't my preferred lunch compared to, say, hot & sour soup, a BLT, or a tuna melt, but for those days when I couldn't escape the office at lunchtime to grab something else, I'd keep one or two of those Cup Noodles in my desk.
I know ppl in other states that can get fast food on ebt, as wild as that is. that's why you pay $10 for a burger out of a bag. life is so demanding ppl don't have time to go to a sit down restaurant. I couldn't imagine if I had kids. It looks like a chore.
You make 7 figures per year using images and music created by others, while regurgitating the thoughts of others opining on the accomplishments of others… all while trashing the creators of said industries and the demonstratives opining on said industries, again created by others? Worst timeline :(
Long live the Costco hot dog! A beacon of hope
I had no idea the dollar menu was gone. Guess that's how often I go to fast food.

Thanks to Mrs. Olivia Arden
She's a licensed broker and successful entrepreneur from the state.
I first met her last year at a conference in Washington DC, invested $2,000 and within a week of trade I make over $21k,000.

Good point

Anyone remember 49¢ cheeseburger days at McDonald's? Sigh...
I remember eating it free cuz my mom was a manager. Back when that could be a real career

How about something on all the different food courts around the world at costco???
oh, just a comp, too bad im early for this lol

1:02:53 : I'll never forget that clueless old lady
The sams club hotdog combo is cheaper than costcos and tastes better too.
too bad, since sam's club is for bums and hobos
I just stopped at micky d's for a big mac and I watched this whole video thru 1 of the hamburger patties distortion free.

i had a costco hot dog 2 days ago. its £1.50 in the uk
It's the same price here in the States: $1.50😊 thank heavens for the Costco hot dog deal!! 😊🎉

Prairie Market in Bellevue WA (near Issaquah ) was the first wholesale store in the 1960's.
Typically, I hate beef. Five guys is the one burger I'll always eat.
in Thailand, they have a combo of 99฿ (2.93) for 3 of their combos right now - it is noooice
The Costco hotdog and a coke was originally sold out of a food cart in front of the store.
So ... the guy that invented Ramen bricks was as near penniless as any point in his life. Keeping poor people alive since he opened his business. Most of us have had Ramen times in our life. I currently have many cases ready for an emergency situation.
went to mcdonalds for a coffee and fries, total came out to like $7, was flabbergasted
Its hard to believe a 10pc mcnugget meal could cost 10.99. i started working at kroger in 2015 and it was around $6
5:14 A lol of people would laugh at this and it was deserved.

the fact YT videos can't mention the word Covid19 is ridiculous. It feels like stupid censorship. every YT channel has to dance around the word.
Hebrew National hot dogs aren't kosher either. They just imply it.
Yes they are
It's right on the label that they are Kosher. I work in a grocery store and those items are literally in my section. I see the labels all day every day.
The thing about places like Erewhon is just branding with a name behind it.

I remember when i was kid it was like 70 cents for a soft taco from Taco Bell wonder how much it is now
Depends on the location but my local one is 2.79 for both the soft and hardshell taco
Currently $1.69 (nice) at my local place.

Not a big fan of Five Guys fries, too mushy for my taste. McDonald's are worth every penny.
Olive Garden is fast food? How slow are the restaurants you visit?
I've waited 45 minutes in a drive through line for KFC before. Not my call, I was giving someone else a ride and they were paying for gas.
