You're absolutely right about their concerts. I saw them live last year and then last month again, and it's crazy how good they are. It's an experience you'll never forget!

What a beautiful and emotional song...this was lovely, even with the lower quality recording... his voice is very special Thank you Amanda for showing us a different style entirely!
One ok rock has massive versitility. I like the lyric version more personally but I understand liking the lives. I played this song to my mom and we both broke down in tears. Thanks for this. Been waiting on another hard to love reaction. This song is big to me

Wow this is a pretty deep cut considering its your second song from them 😁 Amanda knows her stuff! I assure you the vocals here are mild compared to the stuff he usually does. Hope to see more of one ok rock on your channel! I'm here for it 🤟🏻
Thanks I try. Next will be Mighty long fall on 29th December. He has agreed to do the MV and a live version then. Just need to pick the best live version to show him. Ending story?? Is my live stream pic if anyone is joining the patreon if not it will come to YT eventually.
I think the information was a bit mixed up though. He didn't change his last name because he had a fallout with his parents. He had a fallout with his parents when they found booze and cigarettes in his room, and his mom told him she's going to disown him if he didn't change. He packed his stuff and ran away, and started working in a restaurant to make ends meet. His dad actualyl found his workplace and they talked it all out. He was 16. Not long after that his parents divorced, the same year OOR was founded. He was 17 back then, so technically a minor. In Japan, there is no shared custody, so his custody was given to his mom, while his brothers stayed with their father. That's when he changed his name to Morita, his mom's last name. But later he changed it back to his dad's family name. He also dedicated a song to his mom later. And his brother Hiro, who is the lead singer of My First Story, also wrote a song about this period, called Home, which tells how lonely he became when his big brother wasn't around and their parents divorced. Hiro was 11 at the time. Taka talks about the strained relationship with his parents in the Netflix documentary Flip a Coin. There his father is also interviewed and he says he is really proud of his son, not because he is famous but because he is a good person. and that he understood what Taka went through because he himself did the same thing when he was 16. This song is beautiful, as is Nobody's Home that Taka wrote about their parents' divorce and Home that Hiro wrote as a response to Nobody's Home.
I think it is note worthy that this song is from Ambitions. Ambitions is also the one that had "Take what you want", wich is a song about a breack up and relathionship in broken pieces. I always connected it to the divorce of his parents.
A beautiful song with such deep meaning. One Ok Rock don't stick to just one or two styles and I plan to help you all enjoy it. 😊

@@Xia-hu Thanks for sharing that here in the comments. I did tell DJ most of that but he didn't quite remember correctly when he filmed the reaction.
