Currently watching the 2022 Brisbane flood unfold and literally just saw this amazing engineering spring into action at the Holman Street ferry terminal 👏👏👏
As Brisbane is currently flooding when i write this. I went for a bike ride around the city today and was quite surprised to see these not in action yet. The one in Toowong has a massive private pontoon up against the gangway. I'd say they should be let go far earlier than they have been.
And now it's 2022 ......... it would appear that the walkway feature was a failure .... It was said to be "Set and forget".. Does the government get warranty on this investment....?
These designs are magnificent. I use these terminals every day to commute. The engineering on the Bulimba terminal is impressive, but the gangways didn’t detach. The debris did build up (Hawthorne) and damage was done. Milton was out of service for 1 year after 2022. I thought the emergency response to pull the pin had failed, but I now see it was supposed to be autonomous. What happened???
How much will these cost? I suspect existing ferry terminals are built to a price hence the square modular style they all follow. If the task is a blank cheque lets see what nasa can come up with?

Confident and intriguing delivery and thought provoking speech! Well done!
Beautiful ideas! Great job, both of 'em!

Excellent, thanks.
UQ, Milton and QUT all failed in my area. A bit disappointing.
i dont think it got high enough to get them to work
congratulations to GREAT JOB
Great!
BOLD Design!
A science related TED talk? I thought they weren't fashionable anymore
AVO Bingo! Seems like all they cater to is Space propaganda and globalist goal. Sad really.

Bom demais 💖
How do they get the gangway back once it’s detached?
I first read that as ~blood~ resilient ferry terminals and was slightly alarmed before realising it was just my very tired brain messing with me.

320ifq lucas well considering half the terminals have now been upgraded to these....who cares!!!!!!
I think moving a bit around is necessary to keep the audience interested to listen. Sorry felt sleepy.
Excellent content, but the most depressing delivery imaginable. Caffeine, gentlemen, caffeine!
