mini osd wiring plus no video fix

Basically made this video to show the mod I had to do because I was getting no video out on the MinimOSD
but also made a small step by step on how to wire up your minimosd
Keep in mind it can be the 252 apm as well if you already have the telemetry wire in place. You just need to
find 5volts for your miniosd..

11:22 time location . If you have a at300 and want to use the battery power you might
need to do a modification to your board. I settled on a 1k resistor you may try others like 480ohm ect might actually be better. I came up with this in a rush to help somebody else that was running into issue's .
The mod =
1 - 1k resistor
1 cut trace off 85x resistor (75ohm)

I fixed it finally. All was abut my APM on my Cheerson, just plugged the quad to pc and turned the battery notification ON by Mission planner setup, all came on. :)

Thank you, this helped me too. I had to power 5v to the 12V + pin for the image to come through... when it came through everything was overexposed so getting a true 5v from the flight controller was required as opposed to 4.8v from the pdb. Thanks again.

yeah sorry bout the crappy quality and the steps being a tad vague ..
The only two wires that needed to be shown are the tx and rx wires from the telemetry port on the apm2.6..

Question! does it show the battery voltages? did you need to flash it to get out of heartbeat at first? Please let me know because I already got one mini osd but the heartbeat stopped after I flashed it. Thanks and Regards

Hi.. I never had to flash it .. You do see your voltages properly if you have a power module.. you need to have tx and rx hooked up if your not using telemetry , but you prob know that already..
Is it possible your new flash is using a different baud rate? ..

Because on your video I noticed you get the main Battery Voltage a value of 0.0 so I thought you may flashed it with malware. Cool if you say so they may flashed the original mini OSD which sale $7.85 and put a plastic cover on it, and sell it twice the value now. Awsome I will get this version , I think Bangood has it. So I keep watching your video you posted, it shows each time you connect the OSD the Battery value is like the rest of us 0.1 V and the current value 0.0
do you have any other video this problem is solved ?

HI .. i have another step by step with the cx20 install .. however i am not sure if i had the box checked in for power module.. regardless challenge excepted.. I will spend time tomorrow.. re hooking it back up and checking things out ..

Oh and if you are doing this on a oem cx20 apm .. don't forget you need the custom firmware for telemetry ..

Bangs do you have the firmware you used for this particular setup
And does flashing the firmware install a new character set ?
My character set is not as it should be as I think I have flashed a wrong version

I connect the minimosd directly to naza v2, not using APM and PIXHAWK. does connecting minimosd to nazav2 have to go through APM / PIXHAWK?....
for recommendation whether it is better to use APM or PIXHAWK?
