Can we grow hydrangeas in india ?
Yes! You can grow Hydrangeas in India as well. Monsoon and winters make for the best Hydrangea Growing Season in India. Although you can plant them anywhere in India, growing hydrangeas in pots is a better option as you can move them out of scorching sunlight when the summer strikes.
How do you care for hydrangeas in India?
Hydrangeas flourish in porous, moist soil with a fair amount of compost. They aren't highly dependent on sunlight and can even develop well in partial shade. However, they do need some space, especially if you're growing hydrangeas in clusters. Do keep them around 3 to 5 feet apart.
    Where does hydrangea grow best?
This is because hydrangeas love the warm morning sun, but they dislike the heat of the afternoon. The best place to plant hydrangeas is in a sheltered location with sunny mornings and shady afternoons. You often find this on the north or south side of your home.
Do hydrangeas grow well in pots?
Hydrangeas grown in the ground or in containers require 3 basic things; well-drained soil, the proper amount of sunlight and lots of moisture. Growing hydrangeas in pots is a great option for people who are limited in space, or would like to create a beautiful new look in their garden.
What climate does hydrangeas grow in?
Hydrangeas are appreciated for their ability to thrive in cool, moist shade, but some types are more heat and drought tolerant than others. If you live in a warm, dry climate, you can still grow these spectacular plants. Read on for more tips and ideas about hydrangeas that take heat.
How do I keep hydrangeas blooming in pots?Water hydrangeas in pots frequently, so the soil doesn't get dry during their blooming time. While hydrangeas are blooming they require daily watering. When we had an unusual hot spell this Summer, I even watered them twice a day - once in the morning, and once in the evening. That kept them healthy and happy.
Why is my potted hydrangea not flowering?
The reasons for hydrangeas not flowering are too much fertilizer, lack of sun, transplant shock, moisture stress, frost damage on developing flower buds and because of hard pruning the old wood which supports this seasons new hydrangea blooms.
How many years does it take for a hydrangea to grow?
    2-4 years
Though they are fast growing shrubs, it can take 2-4 years for hydrangeas to reach their full size. Some are faster to mature than others. Growing hydrangeas is simple, and they can thrive in just about any climate.
How long do hydrangea flowers last?
You want a flowering hydrangea that feels sturdy and not soft or spongy." If you choose a healthy bouquet, it should last up to two weeks.
What fertilizer is best for hydrangeas?
Typically hydrangeas thrive when fed an all-purpose, balanced fertilizer like a 10-10-10 N-P-K or 12-4-8 N-P-K. To increase the size and quantity of hydrangea blooms, consider a fertilizer with more phosphorus.
    Can hydrangea survive a frost?
In the winter too! Luckily, hydrangeas can tolerate some cold and are frost resistant due to their origins in Asia. But beware of severe (night) frost. Hydrangeas can survive the frost, but the buds can be damaged.
How do you prune hydrangeas in India?
Once the plant is done flowering, and the summers are over, pruning should be done. This will let your plant get new buds right in time for the Monsoon/Spring. It will also make the plant bushier. Another thing to note is pinching, you must pinch the new buds once the main stalk is 7-8 inches.

It's already one winter season past...since I planted mine...they have started to show new growth. Please tell me what additional fertiliser I can add to the soil ?

Simple well draining soil with high humus content . Use plastic pots & keep pot size above 12”

Good information ❤ but if anyone want to change its colour to pink or deep pink they need to increase the ph level by making it alkaline not acidic. If one make it acidic then it will be on the blue side. I have experimented with mine and this is the information that I wanted to pass.

Put Hydrangeas In Water Immediately After Cutting
As soon as hydrangeas are cut, the stems should immediately be put into tepid water. And Use a sharp knife or clippers to cut each stem on a diagonal and they only tend to last 5-9 days depending on how you care for them.
