      You read my mind. I thought my passion for music was gone. The Warning has brought it back. I tell my grown kids, "This is MY MUSIC! This is the music I grew up with. Nobody plays like this anymore." It's not just the music but who they are as people that makes them stand alone.

    This has been said on countless reaction channels - The Warning's superpower is performing live. Period. They cannot be beat when they perform live. Their studio material is great. But their live performances are out of this world. Their essence, their presence, their passion are all on display for every single performance. If we could harness the energy they put out during a live performance, it would power the world forever.

    Loved this reaction. You will probably notice in the comments that a large majority of TWA members have attended multiple concerts. Yes its because we're supporting them as much as we can, but its also because once you experience a live performance you want more. Before my first live show, i had watched many videos of them live and many live streams during their tour, but it wasn't until my first sound check when Pau's snare strike exploded within my body that I understood that being there was a whole other world to just watching through a screen. Especially when they're headlining. After getting home from that show, I immediately checked their schedule to see if I could make it to another show. 6 days later I drove 12 hours to Dallas to see them again. I saw them 3 times last year but I had tickets for another 4 shows that I just couldn't make it to. TWA members travel from all over the world to see The Warning live. I knew that before my first show, but I didn't fully understand until after. They released 2 other videos from this same concert that I would recommend: Animosity and their cover of Enter Sandman. Looking forward to your next TW reaction.

    That was not just a drum fill. That was an advanced sextuplet drum fill. All this while singing lead. Yes, lead vocals, not back up oohs & aahs. Its her song from start to finish.
    I am over-Pau-ed.
    That's it.
    We need to talk more about this 5 feet nothing musical genius.
    Her songwriting, her conceiving a song including intro bass line, her harmonizing, her lead vocals, her tech-savvy multi-tasking in live performances, her drumfills & those incredible buildups on the drums, & her explosive energy that radiates through ether into our screens.
    Yes, her sisters are exceptional musicians & singers with unbridled energy.
    But Paulina Villarreal is gradually becoming that giant supernova about to explode into international stardom.
    Forget everything else; just her profound poetry alone is worth so many laurels.

    • @TheUnderdogDe
      @TheUnderdogDe ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So, you are trying to say that you are a fan of Pau? As much as I enjoy her performing some songs by herself, they never come up to the standards of the whole band playing together. She is great at many things but her main asset for many years has been her sisters. They are as important to her as she is to them. We really don't need her to blow up. I kind of would prefer if they all continue to grow together. We don't know what the future holds but 10 years ago I only cared about Pau, but I have come over that, and see her sisters improving on stage for every video. They play different roles but are all just great at what they do.

    • @MrSudeepdas
      @MrSudeepdas ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@TheUnderdogDe My comment was specifically about Disciple where she sort of "designed" it from start to finish.
      No true fan of TW would want them to break apart. I don't think my earlier post ever hinted or promoted that idea.
      The fact that you say " ...they never come up to the standards of the whole band playing together." shows that you & I understand music differently; keeping in mind Revenant & Breathe. Fair enough each to his own.

    • @TheUnderdogDe
      @TheUnderdogDe ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MrSudeepdas I'm sorry, but I got the impression that your comment about the song ended with _"That's it."_
      My favorite song for years has been *The End* but that does not mean that I think it's something they often should perform live. The same pretty much goes for Revenant, Breathe and 23 which I also love. In my view, they are great but not as suitable for larger arenas. I am glad that I seem to share the "standards" with the sisters on that subject.

      Sorry to correct you, but the Metropolitan isn’t as prestigious as you think (Mexican artists don’t dream of performing there). It is a good venue, but definitely not the best. Playing the National Auditorium would be more like playing Carnegie Hall, which, despite popular belief, they haven’t played there yet (Lunario is a small venue within the National Auditorium grounds, but it isn’t the National Auditorium itself).

      @@NoSmokingDogs The top is Auditorio Nacional, where every artist dream of, even now that they usually use Stadiums, Auditorio Nacional is still the top tier, for history, location, capacity and class of it, then there are many venues, like Palacio de los deportes, Pepsi Center, Metropolitan, Lunario, etc, but top will alway be Auditorio Nacional, its like Jay Z bar "Since I made it here, I can make it anywhere", If you sold out Auditorio Nacional you can make it anywhere, but another top tier could be Foro Sol wich is an old venue wich is in remodelation this year, that venue is not like class, but it is the largest venue apart form stadiums, so most artist start on Little Venues, or as openers for bands in big venues, then they do the route like first could be Metropolitan you sold out this, next step is Pepsi Center (when you sold out this 2 venues you know you are know a top artist with a huge fandom, after that, they could go to Palacio de los deportes (bigger than Auditorio Nacional) or to Auditorio Nacional where everyone wants to play, when you sold out Auditorio Nacional youre know on the top, then you could go bigger with Palacio and last could be Foro Sol because of its capacity, look some Ramstein in Mexico it is in Foro Sol, after that is just Stadiums like Taylor Swift, Metalica, Ramstein, some top artists do beacuse any other venue will be just too small for them this is in Mexico, but they already have good venues in Europe sold out, hope they keep growing and do some big things, lets goooo!

    These 2 shows they did that weekend was both sold out, with the streets flooded with fake Merch vendors, the air was full of electricity. Downtown Mexico City was in a buzz, over these young Gals in a hard rock band, playing in a sophisticated 2 tier theater, considered the best of the best places to perform, and reserved for upper crust. Well, when Amazon Films decided to use their High end movie cameras, and tap the audio into the main sound board, all 6 HD cameras recorded what we all get too see, every time we go see them Live. Every show is like this, they give it their all. 100 people, or 100,000, it doesn't matter. Lzzy Hale watched them play live, freaked out, and made her entire band get back to practicing harder! To say I've watched that live performance a few times is in understatement. They just kill it every time they play live and seem to be having so much fun every time. That's contagious and makes the show all that much better.

    It's hard to explain their explosiveness in person. I thought I was prepared. I wasn't. They are so LOUD, they are SO good, they are SO fun it is difficult to convey. I'm just glad I saw them in a small venue Spring 2022. I *knew* they were going nuclear by that Fall and I was right. What a fking band. They've saved Rock and Roll for me.

    A thought on one of the many things that make The Warning special and helps fill out their sound. Yes, they're a trio. However, if you count vocals (voices) as instruments, and you should, they are actually a six piece. Each voice is an instrument. Singers refer to their voice as an instrument which it is.
    This helps them tremendously as you said. 👍🤘⚡

    Saw them live last year with Halestorm, The Pretty Reckless and Lilith Czar. These young ladies are awesome live! They have a bright future ahead of them. Mind you, Ale just turned 18 in December. They are all so young and talented. Can't wait until they come to my area again! 😁🤘

    On PauCam videos you can see that she's got a separate pedal that controls their show as well. Their in-ear click-track/mix, the visuals, etc are all synced through a pedal by her left foot to her laptop.

    Great reaction John! That's why we are all crazy about this band. They are better LIVE than their studio recordings. I have seen them LIVE 7 times (6 times last year, 1st time January 2020). And they are down to earth, goofy, nerdy, smart, witty, sweet, intelligent, engaging and endearing young ladies. I've met and talked with them on 3 occasions. And their parents are some of the nicest people I've ever met.
    I've already seen the 1 hour, 46 minute video of this entire concert. Check out their song ANIMOSITY and ENTER SANDMAN from this same concert Teatro Metropolitan CDMX.
    🗣 Thanks!

      Damn..you lucky bastard. I'm from Hawaii and now one of their concerts is on my bucket list. Can't believe I'm only hearing about them since January 2023, and everyday I'm listening to them. Every song is great, not even AC/DC could have every song good. Maybe Def Leppard is a close one.

    I've seen them twice. You aren't kidding that they're absolutely spectacular live. No special effects, just the three of them with their instruments, voices, and stage presence. They play loud, but not overwhelmingly so. I believe that some bands use excessive volume to mask their inadequacies, which The Warning don't have. My first show was in Boston last May, when they were headlining. The sound was pristine, and it was a fantastic experience.
    Your point about drums walking a fine line was very well taken. Pau is a fierce drummer, for certain, but she's not overbearing on the kit, and she mixes things up a lot. Her drumming is a lot more than setting the beat; the rolls and fills in Disciple contribute to the melody. Even when she plays a steady rhythm on the kick (Sinister Smiles, for example), she doesn't overdo it. There's another band that's well known that has a lot of fans in common, but I haven't found them to my liking (I'm not going to name them because I don't want to make that an issue; this is simply by way of comparison with Pau). The problem is precisely overbearing kick drums in all of the songs that I've heard from that band.
    I do think Dany's singing is better than it was when this was recorded. This concert is almost two years later, and that's a lot of time for her to have continued to improve.
    I think this one's my favorite (from the concert) that I've heard so far; I've heard a few more than the general public by virtue of Patreon membership, but that's still only about 1/4 of the whole concert. I found Animosity to be the least impressive, but that qualifies as praise by very faint damnation, since it's still spectacular.

    I discovered The Warning last month and I can't get enough of them.
    Everything everybody else has said is true. They're all very talented, they're driven to be better than they were yesterday, they love performing and they're humble. Last week I watched a video where Pau baked a cake in her mother's kitchen. I mean, what rock star allows their audience to watch them bake a cake at home? Dany's done a few live streams where she's gotten very emotionally vulnerable with us, and that's a beautiful thing to witness. I believe one of Ale's nicknames is "Thunder Goddess" and it fits. She brings the thunder!
    Thanks for showcasing such an important group.

    • @charlielightfoot7006

    Have you never seen/heard Triumph (3 Piece, big sound, lead vocals by guitarist and drummer)? That who is I think of when I watch The Warning. With this show specifically, they also share the trait of having a "big" show (Triumph was known for this). If you haven't heard of them, check out Triumph at the US Festival footage.

    When you thought you have heard everything, then three sisters from Mexico come and say "We are The Warning, you have not heard us" and they kick rock in it´s behind and tells it to move. And it did and is rolling on better and better by the day. Ale, Pau and Dany have the ability to breathe life in the music and into their fans. If you want to be happy, the doctor is ordinating a high dose of TW several times a day. It´s addictive yes. But it is life!

    I haven't gone to a concert in a few years. Mostly due to insane ticket prices and the fact there aren't many
    bands today that inspire me to see in the first place. BUT.... I'll make an exception if these three young super talented sisters
    make a visit to my area. Not since Rush have I been that blown away by a power trio.

      I saw them in Denver. GA ticket price was $35.
      If you purchased VIP for the M&G it was $100 (including the $35 for the GA ticket).
      Very reasonable and the tickets were by far the cheapest part of the whole experience.
      Their merch prices are reasonable as well.
      Plane tickets and hotel room were the expensive part but that had nothing to do with TW.

    At first listen, I was thinking this is just a live video dubbed with a studio version. But after several more listens, I think it is truly live. Now I have no doubt there is some post-production work, but still, this is awesome. And as I've said before, Ale' if I was just forty years younger, restraining order..... I kid, I kid!

    You also have to consider that they are at an altitude of about 2500 meters and singing is not that easy, let alone singing and playing a guitar often (in this concert) "even as a soloist" and even more so a drum set in that crazy way! They are amazing, that's the reality, my friend!
