You have no idea how helpful you are, Marnie, or as my husband calls you, 'my enabler' lol. I truly adore your reviews. You not only state why you like something, you state why you don't like something in a clear, detailed informative way. I, generally speaking, take other people's opinions with a grain of salt with few exceptions ~ you being one of those. I wish you were economically rewarded by the companies whose products you endorse that I buy because of you You're a class act Marnie TY

I purchased the Healthy Mix Foundation about 6 months ago after I saw one of your videos and it's been my holy grail ever since. I choose it over several of my other high end foundations. I have 2 backups because I don't want to be without. Great video!

This was one of the best foundation reviews I have seen on youtube. Thank you so much for your expertise. It is so nice to know the difference between the foundations.

I've been using (and loving) the Healthy Mix for a couple of years, but now that I've started a higher percentage of Retin-A and my face has a few dry patches, I decided to try the Serum formula in hopes it'd glide better over the flaky bits and help hydrate/disguise them. Sadly, that has not been the case for me. My skin still looks better with the original Healthy Mix. The Serum formula seems to grab onto the dry spots and get "powdery" looking around the areas where my skin is peeling. From now on, I will mix the two formulas until I empty the "Serum" bottle. When the time comes to repurchase, I'll get the original and pass on the gel/serum. I know you published this years ago, but still, thank you for comparing the formulas. It was very helpful.

I've found the 1-2-3 is great when mixed with my Pond's BB cream, otherwise it gets too dry. The serum also works well mixed with the cream. I wish they sold Bourjois in the States!

Marnie -- I have tried every foundation it seems and a SA I have known for a long time at Dior practically begged me to buy the Airflash foundation. So...I did and I am soo glad I did. For me it is the best foundation I've ever used. So, if you ever feel like splurging...I highly recommend it.

I moisturize like crazy!! Also, I like to add a bit more shimmer to the skin in the way of bronzer, blush, and highlighter. That way my skin doesn't look flat.

I have wanted to try Healthy Mix for quite a while and then they came out with the gel one and you came home with the 1-2-3 - confusing. So glad you did this video to explain each of them. Really, really big help!

I loved it. The only reason I stopped wearing it was because my skin suddenly started breaking out when I wore it. It is pretty heavy coverage and it lasts forever. I'd recommend going to an EL counter and asking for a sample. They're very generous with their samples.

I'm so pleased that you did a video on the Bourjois foundations as I just recently picked up the Healthy Serum gel at my local Shopper's Drug Mart where I live in Canada, the only retailer that sells it over the counter here. I thought I was buying the Healthy Radiance one because the packaging is so similar. Anyway, I had to order the latter off EBay from the UK, and I'm anxious to receive it to compare. My skin is fair like yours and on the dry side. And I love Chanel foundations! :-)

I apologize if this has been suggested previously, I just bumped into your video and would like to share how I use my Healthy Mix Serum Foundation (53). I have dry skin and need a bit more coverage, so I mix my Double Wear- no more than a full drop, with the Serum (1/2 - 1/3 pump). This gives me a bit more for touch-ups. I probably get about 10 hours worth without setting it, but the coverage is impeccable, and it blends smoothly, allowing additional time to cover imperfections without rushing. Please let me know your thoughts, your video is very concise. I hope Lisa Eldridge complimented your review...it's that good.

+Susana Hayden That's exactly how I'm planning to use it. I just ordered the Serum from the UK, and want to try it mixed with my Double Wear Light. My skin is dry, and I like a medium coverage, so your combo sounds perfect. Thank you for sharing your results.

Thanks for the thorough review. I ordered the 123 Perfect and the regular Healthy Mix from Asos. I have been using the 123 Perfect for a few days and love it. I have combination oily skin and love the matte finish and medium coverage. Side note on Asos - shipping was very fast, but disappointed in the packaging. The flimsy cardboard box was crushed when it arrived and there was no padding in the box. I was very surprised that the bottles were not broken since they are glass.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum gel foundation is the bees knees. I am blown away by how good it is. I also have dry skin and it got me through the winter. Now I stalk the Shopper's Drug Marts in Canada that sell it and buy backups. Even at $27 dollars for drugstore it is worth it.

Just for your info and to give the point of you of a different skin type, my skin is a classic mixed complexion, meaning my T Zone can get kind of shiny which usually makes my foundation shift or like "float" on my skin (which is not a good look lol). I also tend to breakout a little bit on my chin, nose and between my eyebrows (i don't have acne but i do have some pimples on my t zone occasionally). Appart from my t-zone my skin is quite dry, and even "flaky" in the winter. I have blue/purple veins showing through my skin, especially around my eyes and my cheeks, that are very hard to cover because my skin is very thin and SO WHITE, almost grey lol. Atop of all of this I have the worst dark circles ever under my eyes. This has been shitty to deal with, but let me tell you, i LOVE the 123 perfect foundation. It helps A LOT to bring life into my face and to cover up any redness, veins, dark circles etc. It feels hydrating but mattifying at the same time. It is surprising how coverage it gives without looking cake-y, which is something i always want to avoid as thick-looking foundation is the worst and seems to bring out imperfections instead of hiding them. So soft and silky i love it

What I always apply here, under BB creams even, or under foundations is a very thick moisturizer (I have extremely dry skin) - I use Nivea in the blue tin. It's a very thick cream that can be greasy if you're not extremely dry skinned. But you can always apply it to elbows, feet, or knees, or other dry patches. It's amazing and I can't recommend it enough.

I have been looking for the Bourjois here in the states..did a google search a couple of days ago and found the healthy mix on sears.com and drugstore.com..they were both out of the #52,so ended up buying it off of ebay from England. My sister brought me some back from France,a few months ago,in the shade #55,it was to dark for me..maybe in the summer I can use it. I can't wait to get my #52 from England! I hope is doesn't take forever.

Just discovering this video but very helpful. I’m going to try the original healthy mix. I’ve gone through a couple bottles of the serum version and it lays very nicely on my dry skin and is very natural looking, but I wouldn’t call it long wearing. Also if you don’t set it with a powder it transfers pretty bad.

Hi, I like the healthy mix serum, I have dry skin (no flaking except around the eyes) and it adds coverage and radiance. I use my fingers- if I smooth it out with a duo fiber brush, my skin looks healthy; it starts to look dewy when it's built up. Bit drying with no moisturising base. I was interested in the Flower Gel range, too. Haven't tried those yet. Question- how do you make the matte foundation work for you? I want to make Chanel Perfection Lumiere work for me. Any recommendations? Thanks!

I would love to try the Healthy Mix but am paranoid about ordering a foundation online without seeing it first. I am NW20 - perhaps another of your subscriber's is the same & has ordered the Healthy Mix & could tell me what color they ordered & if it worked for them? Thanks so much Marnie! Happy 4th!

Healthy Mix works amazing for me and I have super oily skin, comparable to Mac Studio Fix Fluid, just slightly less coverage. I'm 51 in it too (:

Do you know if this brand has a good foundation for oily skin? I love Chanel foundations!!!! Thx

What a great, comparative review! I have only tried the HM serum and the regular, not the 1-2-3 Perfect, and I agree with you, the non-serum one is the one I prefer too, satin finish and med coverage on my dry skin. Oh, and did you see that Emily (emilynoel83) commented on this video? How cool is that? :)

I LOVE the Healthy Mix Serum - I live in France now so am totally stockpiling that stuff for when I move back to the States. Have you tried the 10 Hour Sleep foundation? I guess they are discontinuing that one, but I really love that one, as well - kind of a bit runny, but that was my go-to foundation for years before the Healthy Mix Serum came out - now that is my fav!

I haven't tried it, but if it's discontinued, I don't even want to like it!! Buy as much Bourjois as you can now!!

Oh I will!!! They seem to do a lot of really good discounts on their French website, so waiting for a good reduction and then am gonna order like mad!!! I really want to try that 123 foundation now, looks nice!

I loved outlander. I'm on the second book already...I've been wanting to try their foundations. I'm glad you mentioned the scent. I am going to have to check ingredient lists for fragrance. I can only speak for myself. Fragrance is an issue for me, because I have sensitive skin. When I use products with fragrance I typically get red, blotchy, and breakout. It's pretty unattractive.
