4 years of investment. From scratch, to making firewood(on the process of making bats), to perfecting the art of bat making. A very good true story indeed. Congratulations and All the very best. Wish you good health too. Cherrs!

Hi paul, great video I’ve been watching your videos now for about 12 months and enjoy your no bullshit approach, I think it’s a wonderful art and I’m glad it’s in your hands, I had a similar factory experience this year at a factory in Nottingham which was fascinating and I came out with a beautiful bat. I’m sure in future there’ll be space in my bag for one of your gorgeous creations, keep up the fantastic work and videos 👍👍

Thank you for your kind words. That would have been a machine made bat if I'm guessing right where you bought it. Totally different thing to what I'm doing to be honest

Yes I’m aware of the difference, I understand yours are hand made and b3 are machine made, I think the debate on which is better has points on both sides, I don’t have an opinion as of yet hence why I’ll buy a hand made bat in the future. I’ve just started playing again after a 25 year gap, I had a motorbike accident which left me with no use in my left arm, the thing about about b3 which appealed to me was that I could have it built exactly as I wanted as you can imagine my needs are quite individual and the bat I came out with was completely different to anything off the shelf, even down to the way the handle was shaped as not to twist in my hand amongst other things, I suppose a question which I’m sure the answer is can you do that sort of thing?or do you just make the shapes on your website?

Liam yes we do all sorts of different things. Having spent a lot of my coaching days coaching disability cricket I have made very individual bats for people with hand and arm disabilities enabling them to grip and use a bat even when they have limited ability in grip due to deformity etc. No bat should spin in the hand easily if the handle is shaped properly simply because your hand isn't round when it grips. It's always slightly oval so making a handle to suit is a basic requirement.
