Hey again, thanks so much for dedicating so much time to helping us! I've finally fixed the v2 paco pico. This was how I did it. Using Betaflight configurator 10.9 1. Go to fimware flasher 2. Select BETAFPVF405, fimware version: 4.4.2 [01-Jun-2023], enable full chip erase (load fimware[online] (the website has cli 4.4.1) 3. Select SBUS for your radio protocol. Unsure if (CRSF,GHST,SBUS) might work. 4. Flash Firmware Ports Enable UART4 for configuration/MSP (enable VTX(MSP + Display Port)) for UART 4 only & UART 5 for Serial Rx (Save & Reboot) Receiver should by default be selected to Serial UART and provider SBUS. Hope this helps others!
wow! this must have been a nightmare.. Admire your commitment though.. Know exactly what it's like spending many hours troubleshooting the drone till it finally works.. Will totally share your solution in the next video with the pavo pico version 2.. Here are some new rate you may want to try that will give some control of your new drone... Thanks for sharing.. th-cam.com/video/Y2KiO_qLqhU/w-d-xo.html
Thanks again this worked but am curious if you flashed with the elrs configurator too.. got it working but am wondering if it’s a necessary step too.. won’t really know since it’s working and once it’s fixed, it’s hard break it when it’s already working.. thanks for this solution Will throw video up tonight …
@@How-to-by-Lou I tried flashing ELRS and turning GPS off, unfortunately that did not work since I got an error. ELRS works in tandem with serial Uart. Keep in mind I’m using the build 2 of the Pavo pico with the 2-3s FC (F4 2-3D 20A FC V1). I believe upgrading the firmware through the configurator in BetaFlight and using the web to find the firmware is better than downloading the .hex file from their support site since 4.4.2 is only available from the auto detect button on Beta Flight whereas 4.4.1 is on the support site
thnx for the help from your tutorials, a little long but its ok. Have 2 pico's - one is binded to DJi and other RadioMaster. Took awhile to figure it out but have to give you some credit. Thnx again, Cheers!
OMG...this was so helpful...not using dji controller but looking at your ELRS configuration i found what was the problem with mine...i was trying to upgrade to 3.0.1 (to match my other equipment) and the target was not available. Changed to the latest and i managed to update + bind. Thanks a million!!!
I've been trying to flash for 4 days now, but it shows me a build error, I don't know why, what I'm doing is wrong, I've checked everything 4 times and I'm doing it just like you said. I have the o3 and RX Express versions.
You can go even lower with Rates and add some expo. Not a fan of Actual Rates, Still use Betaflight rates. Going to Scaled 80 Throttle is already going in the right direction
Thanks for the help is really the only video that can help but spresslrs configuration don’t let you flash so you need go to betaflight and change 6 to 5 port. And give hit it one more time and the controles work and talk with betaflight
am working on new video with version 2 of the Pavo Pico. Everything will happen in real time. Hopefully it will happen for other folks to as it happens for me.. Don't give up just yet..
so my Pavo will only work if I use the DJI preset in the presets menu. Even with these basic settings it wont work UNLESS I do that DJI Preset. I don't think thats right. I can't get this drone to fly stable it just rises then flies off. It's getting exhausting.

Help!! First build & new to beta flight. Can't get my Pico to arm. I go to bataflight and use the settings that you covered in the last video and still have red flags for RX. My DJI goggles & controller are bound to the unit. I have video in goggles but can't arm using the aux switch. No motor start.
When you go into beta flight select (Modes) then delete beeper and flip/ save and try now.. Which pavo pico do you have? Version on or version 2? If you have version two make sure you have SBUS selected. Also click here and scroll down. Make sure your UART for DIJ is correct.. betafpv.com/products/f4-2-3s-20a-aio-fc-v1
@@How-to-by-Lou have v2 & uart and sbus selected but maybe in the aux switch assignments? I'll try the settings from your tutorial again. I'm 7sing Dji goggles and controller and it does bind but has no stick reaction on the controller screen. Thank you for your help. I'll keep trying and going over your pico videos. 🙏👍
Click on (Modes) in the Betaflight Menu: make sure (AUX 2 ) is selected for ARM ........AUX 1 = Angle and Horizon In the top bar of the Betaflight APP on the right side next to the UPDATE Firmware button, a little lower to the left - Turn on: (Expert Mode)...Click on (Failsafe ) in the Left Menu. It's between (Power and Battery) and (Presets).. now go to stage 2 settings in the Failsafe menu. Now select (GPS Rescue), Now turn on: (Allow arming without fix). That might do the trick.. Everything in my videos happens in real time.. Not sure to why it works for some and not other.. Will try put another video together once I get the cable fixed specifically with the Pavo Pico Version 2...
Can’t please everyone - many have shared their thanks and praise and other will express disappointment too.. the good thing is there is more than one version of this solution on TH-cam by different presenter… am sure you’ll find the one that’s right for you…
@@How-to-by-Lou sure, that's why I left without finishing the video. There are loads of channels that present information quickly and effectively. Good luck with your channel.
Try adding some expo to your rates maybe 20 percent. As far as rates there is no standard of rates for flying indoors. When I started I just kept practicing until I was able to fly up and down the stairs. That is why your not getting anywhere with others pilots for the rates. In the beginning, I mentioned to you to buy a analog whoop to learn to fly this is how I started and now I can fly in acro with a 5 inch and even built 3 drones
