I'd totally forgoten about the PPZ and how unfair those old 1V1 fights were with the house robots getting involved 😛 Also... firing the flipper on the bench during the interview 🤣
Interestingly, Ant Pritchard revealed that they were actually approached about this, but this never materialised probably due to the BBC axing the show. It certainly would have been a fantastic thing to have in the collection and I think had the merchandise continued, a collect and build range would be fun, as it would teach building in a way. I have actually made my own models of Behemoth many years back and am looking at making 1 based on the new version!
@@Headbanger142 I've never heard of any such thing, but I really hope that wasn't the case. Not that I'm against Behemoth or Team Make Robotics, but any "runner-up" trophy to me just sounds stupid. If you didn't win the actual trophy, you didn't win it, thus you shouldn't have it (unless there's wrongful officiating at play) or any consolation trophy. That's like giving a child a consolation present at someone else's birthday party just to make them feel special when the real focus isn't supposed to be on them.
Behemoth got the semis in the 2nd wars, unfortunately he was smashed by Killertron in the episode when the Kent robot wrecked Behemoth with it's garden fork-type axe.
Behemoth's best year until Series 10. What a glow up from 1998 to 2018.
2nd wars semi finalist, stopped by Killertron however.

The Longest Running Legend in Robot Wars History. Goes to show that you can teach old dog some New Tricks!
Hemel Hempstead team.

"I'm Done"
not to mention there's a moustache on top of behemoth
Silly slogan!.
It's a pity there wasn't a Behemoth pull back toy. Not even a HEXBUG toy, now that would've been great.
Behemoth debuted in series 2.

@@TheTheknightofblack They've continued to compete at these live shows including at this year's MechMania debut event!
The debut of the longest active contestant robot in the show’s history. Just a shame that only its antweight counterpart won a trophy.
Anty B that was in the featherweight final in the robot rampage episode.
Apparently it also got a trophy for coming runner up in the World Championship.
