Dj Slim is actually the only person who made sense out of Nathaniel Bassey's message. What is gospel without the message?Gospel isn't about melody. What has slave trade got to do with what Nathaniel Bassey said? Can a Ghanaian pastor go to China and be preaching in Twi?Smh.
It's really very sad, Ghanaians still will never learn. They turned a simply English message to complex geometry and starts conjuring what's neither here nor there, confusing themselves in the process. If you do not believe in singing in English, please by all means do you. But don't complain that Nigerian music both secular and gospel are taking over your airspace. How sad indeed. Nigeria have quality local and English melodious songs well writing and taking over the world.
Ghanaians know Nathaniel Bassey, Mercy Chinwo, etc. But how many of them know Tope Alabi? One can conveniently argue that Tope Alabi is bigger than any of these people. But how come they don't know her? She sings more in Yoruba while they sing more in English. I only could consider this program a conversation because I understand the language you are speaking. You try to speak totally in Twi without an English subtitle and see how many comments from Nigeria you will get. Simple: you limit yourself audience when you speak what they don't understand. That ignorant girl saying it's a spiritual affair, so language doesn't matter. If language doesn't matter then just sing in tongues, so that I don't need to say the lyrics correctly to worship. Maybe she's a Muslim, she's used to forcefully reading a language that she doesn't understand.
In Acts 2 the Apostles were given tongues of other people’s languages. It is to reach other people. There we see the reverse of Babel. For the Gospel to reach masses God ensured the spread of languages such us Greek and Latin and English . Some of the earliest translations of the bible was the Septuagint (Greek) and the Vulgate (Latin) and then English . The effective widespread of the gospel followed the pattern of targeting widely spoken languages. It was God’s guidance for the widespread of the gospel. I don’t see why any should be offended at Nathaniel’s friendly advice. Are we becoming racist like that woke madness or what? English is one of the most popular languages that has an unparalleled global leverage. Whether we agree that Nathaniel’s advice was from the Lord or not, It can be seen also as sincere and complimentary and may the Lord bless him for that.
Nathaniel should have kept his mouth shut or route his message through Ghanaian Gospel music veterans. They would have received the message better if it was openly coming from Donnie Mcclurkin, Don Moen, or Ron Kenoly. The people who brought the religion to us made efforts to convert their materials like the Bible, and hymns to our local languages. Now that it seems we are taking the message back to them in this dispensation, we may have to do the same. We are not ignoring our local languages, I think Nathaniel's advice/prophecy is just to increase English content.
Sarkodie would have won so many awards abroad if only he was more in English . he is know is because of many Nigerian artist he has worked with in the past up till date this are all well known Nigerian artist big names , i am sure Ghanaians has forgotten that also
Twi people are determined to have glory, especially Ashantis, but they are not meant to have glory. Even Nigerians hate it when they hear Twi. I was in Nigeria.
Kudos DJ slim. You were the only one with insight. These other women were simply clueless. The Anchor woman must learn that a profitable business should be handled with seriousness. Pls grow this channel with intelligent guest like DJ slim people like me still believe in Ghana. As a Nigerian the hateful venoms from Accra means nothing, i only admire good thinkers and Dj Slim is one of such. Make una continue to invite idol worshippers and pipo with magnifying glass to comment about gospel music. Sing in your twi and blow in Ghana. Tope Alabi sings her gospels in yoruba, long before Nathaniel took his first baby steps, do you pipo in Ghana know her? The Yoruba people alone in naija double the whole of Ghananian population. So hold your twi tight and deny the rest of the world the beautiful sounds of Ghana. I hope you have a record of a popular Chinese musicain abi? My apologies for Nathaniel's councel.
Mr Bassey is correct he try to help his Ghanian brothers and sisters , this is why Ghanaians are always behind because of stupid ego instead of listening and working with the Nigerian Brothers'.
Twi people are funny. They have no glory, but they can't see or refuse to see. What have they in Ghana? Nothing, but they refuse to see it. Bassy thank you, but they won't see.
My Dear Dj Slim Thank you very much and Well done, i can't believe why and how they paired you up with this two ladies who are trying so hard to make sense but keep contradicting themselves in there submissions. Ghanaian are difficult to advise or maybe probably because the council is coming from a Nigerian, they have immediately turned the admonishing into a Ghana Naija Jollof war. If this same instructions was from a white man, they will jump and leap to compliance. It is just common sense, I don't know why it is so complicated to Ghanaians. Whatever Nathaniel Bassey said i:e singing in English, is not something Ghanaians artist can not do, so one wonders what is all the HULLABALOO about? By the time you will all come to realisation, time would have far gone, and you will sit down and blame Nigeria for not supporting or streaming you music.
my sister these notion that Nigeria have protected their own territory on music is not true, your own Sonnie Badu is big in Nigeria,we have promoted him to the peak of his career, please change your mentality.
White man tongue bawo?? Sing in the most popular langiage in the world....Ghana alone has plenty languages....naija get like 100 languages....you dnt need grammmar to access God but you need English language to penetrate other climes....know that and know peace......
Ghanians😮what is really ur problem? Now i see why for years the entertainment industry is stuck cos of minds like this. Nigeria is not your problem, you guys needs to help yourself first. It ironical that ghana is hospitable but they dont listen cos of pride, it like a villager that like to entertain guest to his village but refuse to learn what it takes to be welcome outside
Nathaniel Bassey must’ve learned. I’m sure next time he’ll beg the Holy Spirit to send another person to deliver the message to Ghanaians. This topic will never be as big if it came from another African, Don Moen, Kirk Franklin or Donnie McClurkin.
yeye set of people safe D.J Slim how could Nigeria resist even Gospel music because its not from Nigerians. Nuisance and.Nonesense always claiming Nigeria not supporting them even though statistics on.ground differs
exactly brother, but she sit her ass and speak the same English she hated from her masters like she said, i am very sure at her work place they speak English if not she might be a cleaner more of a nanny by now. pride hahahahaha has finish some Ghanaians that is why they are only known around ghana instead of them to travel to Lagos just 1 hour flight that will change everything for them just like it did for Black Sherif
Dear Nigerians, why do you still waste your time on Ghanaians affairs? They believe that they know better than you Nigerians and are not prepared to accept any advice from you.Leave them alone and know peace. It’s just EGO thing.
It is sad that Akans particularly Ashantis and Akyems in the forefront are determined to make Ghana a Twi speaking country. They don't care about the other tribes. They refuse to see and acknowledge that they are not meant for Glory. Think of Ghana history and Ghana today. Can't Akans see the hand of the Lord God pre and post independence? The evidence is there CLEAR.
@@nanayawasamoahafriyie Yes, you can say oh. What Akans particularly Ashantis and Akyems are ganging up on Gas in particular is frightening. Gas from independence hoped and worked for Ghana. We were wrong. Others worked for their tribes. Now GaDangbe is envied and hated by the government itself and the other tribes. Watch out Akufo Addo will know that the Lord God of Jacob brought GaDangbe people to inherit this sacred land at the center of the earth. Where do you see GaDangbe people in politics today, in government appointments today. Wait and see and you will see that the Lord God of Jacob controls everything and you will understand what Nkrumah did and fell. Akans and the other tribes will never see any Glory.
This lady is talking nonsense. Come to Nigeria churches and listen to be lifted by MOG, Ese and Baba o by Sonnie Badu. Do more of English songs and see churches sing it. The Brooklyn Tabernacle choir did see what the Lord has done by Nathaniel Bassey. If it were to be in a language theydont understand.....will they do it?
You guys didn't make sense to me accept the young man among you, if the Bible was not interpreted in English how can it reach us, Nathaniel message was clear don't make issue or war out of it. Inquisitive to know what the chorus means, mix your Twi with English simple as that,Nigeria singers are even using Ur twi and slang mix with naija English to cash out
It's the title of the video itself says everything about these people lol. Even a child will know from what Nathaniel said he was in no way "slamming" twi what the hell? What are all these interviews for? 😂If you don't want to follow such advice then just don't. But this should not be all you people have to keep talking about. It''s childish, gossipy news not befitting for a station of this level in your country
Most Ghana will never learn, stay there let the melody promote your Gospel song
