We were as different as can be ;) but they were very welcoming and loving to my then 3 yr old.
I live only 10 mins away from Koreatown in LA and I have eaten at all those places you showed, plus many more! I am in absolute love with Korean food and I am not even Korean (I am from India). In my opinion, Korean food is the best thing LA has to offer. Also, kbbq is my dose of happiness every 2 months and I am going for my next kbbq in K-twon in 2 days!!! Next time you are in LA do try Hamji Park, Seongbukdong, and Soowon Galbi. This video got me so excited, that now I am blabbering :D

Did you go to the korean spas nearby, like Wi spa, Olympic or Hankook. Also, Buena Park near Knotts Berry Farm and DIsneyland has alot of korean places opening up.

I have been to the BCD in Irvine and Garden Grove. The food is pretty standard between the locations. It is really good. I usually get medium spiciest. I heard that the Koreans use metal chopsticks because in ancient times, people would have to worry about enemies poisoning their food. If the food was poisoned, the chopsticks would change color.
+Nannerchan i think they did that for the royal family. to prevent at least the commonly used poisons of those times. by watching the reactions to bowls and untencils.
I really enjoyed this video. My husband and I are going to Koreatown in September. We will be staying near there as well, and I am thinking of using Airbnb to find a place to stay. I already have a list of places we wanna go and things we wanna do. :-)
Why would you travel so far away to a foreign country from your own country... just to eat the stuff you can eat at home for much better... and cheaper. Dont get it. Dont get me wrong... food is good and all... just my 2c
