This almost reminds me of the short story called The Man Who Loves Flowers. The lumberjack seemed to be normal, sweet, and charming just like the man in the other story. The Man Who Loves Flowers was also grieving for his lost love but how he “coped” was by finding women that looked like his lost love and smashing their heads in with a hammer. He was delusional just as the lumberjack is, it’s nice to get to listen to another story like that. Creepy stories like these are what I live for and I always enjoy getting to see the “character that seems perfect but in reality they are batshit crazy” trope.

I love how obvious it was him turning into a Yandere, just by all the details : We have the same name as his wife, he proposed us to wear HER clothes, calling us « Dear » since he knows our name. I would jump through the windows and run back to the forest real quick
So- my online name is Dove and when I tell you I gasped when I heard it- I gasped so bloody loud- oh my god- and The way the whole personality and tone changed was literally amazing- omg
I feel like I missed something why did he think he was going be in trouble for having her in his care before he went psycho the only thing I can think of was he was the reason for the bear trap but unless there's something is preventing him from putting that on his property he has every right and it would have just been an accident so again I'm still confused why he get in trouble because this was very impulsive not planned out and The Listener was okay up until that point I guess we can chalk it up to him just being crazy and trying to justify his actions
Its because he's a strange man with a missing girl out in the woods, he'd be immediately marked as suspicious trying to bring her back and brought into custody basically, I'd be pretty weirded out if I saw him walking around with a girl I just saw a missing persons report on too lol
Can you plz have scene where you are stuck in a cabin with or without I companion during a blizzard etc? And slow it down with sleepy feel. I know you rolled your eyes lol
