    One of the pictures used for the Art of Animation rooms is actually from Port Orleans Riverside...

    AKL is hands-down my number one resort. The theming, to me, is unmatched, and I absolutely love how you can see animals right outside of the building without leaving the property! Jiko and Boma are bonuses, too.

    I've stayed at numerous Disney Resorts growing up, and of them all I've been staying at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside almost exclusively since 1996 (during Disney's 25th Anniversary back when it was Dixie Landings) it's one of the most special hotels you could ever hope to stay at. It's also one of the quietest hotels too. Here you won't hear many kids running around and screaming outside your hotel room like you would at Art of Animation or other kid friendly resorts. It's a very serene and picturesque resort.

      Loved the port Orleans Riverside, but recently stayed at the Beach Club because we needed slightly more room with our family of five, and found the resort to be awesome, but really did enjoy Port Orleans.

      We stayed at Dixie Landings for our honeymoon. Holds a special place in our hearts for sure. Try to stop in when we are at WDW for a nostalgic walk around the resort.

    As far as the Wilderness Lodge not being on the monorail that’s what made it great it was a boat ride from Magic Kingdom with out all the Monorail crowds it felt like two separate vacations to me.
    Also in my opinion it was better before when they had trees instead of the DVC CABINS

      Yes, trees are nature's cowbells! Cedar Point also made the mistake of getting some of their trees a while back.

    Dear parents!
    Let the kids choose their favourite Disney Parks souvenirs!!! When the kids are very good, then they deserve more souvenirs. Every good behaviour kid should have 1-2 bags of Disney Parks souvenirs: plush toys, toys, mini figures, bubble blower, Mickey ears, t-shirts, jacket, drinking bottle, and some pins or magnets and etc. Please buy only those Disney Parks souvenirs, what the kids very want!!!! I know many Disney souvenirs are very expensive, but when the kids are very good all the times, then sometimes they deserve these things!!! Please be kind parents and make Your kids very happy with these Disney Parks souvenirs, what the kids have chosen and don’t say NO all the times, when the kids very deserves those Disney Parks souvenirs for good behaviour!!!
    Respectfully,
    Astra Viil 🥰🙏

    I have been going to Disney since 1971!! My favorite hotels are Grand Floridian, Wilderness Lodge and Disney Beach Club! Disney Beach Club is our personal preference monorail access to the Magic Kingdom and right next to Hollywood Studios and Epcot! My daughter was married in the Wedding Pavilion at the Grand Floridian! No one does a WEDDING like DISNEY it was FABULOUS!!👍👍💕💕🥰

    POFQ wins over the Yacht Club, all day. Smaller, and not nearly as pretentious. I think POFQ is very fun and whimsical... all those sax-playing gators. Food? It'll do, but you won't write home about it. Our stay at POFQ was around this time of year.... middle ten days of December ( in 2018) and POFQ was not sharing a bus with POR. At POFQ, I think we were about as distant from the main lobby area as one can get there, and the "five minute walk" is absolutely true, especially if you find a foot-path/sidewalk on the parking lot side from your building to the bus-loading area. 3 minutes. Our week-long stay at POFQ was quite pleasant, and very relaxing. Another "huge plus" of POFQ is a great laundry room. It's centrally-located very near the blue serpent pool. I WOULD highly recommend POFQ, but if I did that I would never be able to get a room there. Seriously, if you are considering this resort to expend your hard-earned $$$$ at for your Disney trip...do not hesitate. Book NOW. Be warned: I do not think any of the buildings have elevators. You will schlep your luggage up and down the stairs. Definitely not a very handi-capable place to stay. Not mentioned in the video is that POFQ is THE SMALLEST "Moderate" resort by room count and physical size/sprawl. I spent 24 years,9 months, and 14 days earning the privilege to stay at "the place" over by the Palm and Magnolia golf courses.... but if that place is sold out when we are able to go, POFQ is our second choice. Charming, relatively quiet, great transportation.

    Good morning! I stayed at two of the hotels on this list; but because I haven't been to WDW since December, 2007 I haven't been to Art of Animation.
    Port Orleans French Quarter, at which I stayed December 8-15, 2004, looks like New Orleans would look like if they picked up the trash. Loved the compactness, the themeing, the boat ride to Downtown Disney (now Disney Springs), and beignets. (Imagines guys named Ben cheering...ben yay!)
    Wilderness Lodge, where I stayed from November 30 to December 8, 2005, is themed after the hunting lodges of the Northwest United States; and, at the time, was like a deluxe resort priced as a moderate. I loved the rustic feel of the place, the Wilderness Canyon Cafe, and the boat rides to Magic Kingdom. My favorite resort on property.

    We’ve stayed all over Disney. My girls BOTH love Art of Animation. They feel the food court, pools (one huge, one smaller), photo ops, access to parks and room themes are the best!

  • @leahc9723
    @leahc9723 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The best I've stayed at is Pop Century. They have the best quick service food, best transportation options, good layout(nothing too far, unlike Art of Animation), and it's a great price and value for your buck. I've stayed at Port Orleans, Art of Animation, Animal Kingdom, and the Polynesian. Pop Century is my fav and this is where I now stay every time.

    I think saying AOA is value pricing is a little misleading. The standard Little Mermaid rooms are value pricing (although the most expensive value), but the suites (which are the majority of the resort) are practically Deluxe pricing.

    Only stayed at Disney World three times and although we love Animal Kingdom Lodge, and Port Orleans Riverside, we just recently stayed in October at the Beach Club resort and it was awesome. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. We are limited in places we can stay because we are a family of five, so it’s usually a DVC resort. We would still love to stay at the hotels mentioned, especially Wilderness Lodge. For us, right now, Beach Club resort wins.

    Our favorite deluxe resorts is Beach Club. We love the walk to Epcot. Five min from your room to international gateway. We also totally agree on art of animation. The last time we stayed there they had just put in the skyliner we literally walked outside of our room and we were at the sky-liner. We stayed in the nemo family suite.

    Molly, on a scale of one to ten. How bothered are you when someone wants to meet you while you are filming? I've done good in the past when running across celebrities I'm fond of. If I saw you in public I might fail miserably and be "that guy". And let me paint a picture, I'm a 50 year old married man and father of three princesses. I can only imagine my fan girl scream and happy dance is not pretty.

  • @jimwinstonwine4508
    @jimwinstonwine4508 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    We love the Beach Club. Although there is nothing special about the theming, that probably a reflection of the seaside hotel it is meant to emulate? That said, the location couldn’t be better! With a “park hopper” it’s easy to stroll into EPCOT on a whim... use it to walk to the monorail, or hop in after dinner to catch informal entertainment.
    Food options abound and the pool complex is outstanding.
    We love visiting the other resorts. The Polynesian, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Wilderness Lodge are incredible for theming. Incredible. We stayed at Animation one year and loved it, too.
    But we will head back to the Beach Club once we put COVID-19 in the rear view mirror

    I love Port Orleans but I prefer Riverside. My issue with AOA is I can't see paying more for a value resort than a moderate resort which AOA is often higher than some moderates. Although AOA suites are bigger than a moderate room and have 2 bathrooms. Choosing a resort is so subjective! Price, location, space, theme, etc. Bottom line to me is all 6 resorts I have stayed at were very clean and the staff was the best! If it's a Disney room, it doesn't suck!

    My favorite is the yacht club great restaurants walking to Epcot and Hollywood Studios and the boardwalk is fantastic when everything is open and performers are out and the pool. But not Disney but the swan and dolphin gives you the same access and they have a great pool as well at a less cost.

  • @gamberlane
    @gamberlane 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Wilderness Lodge con is "very expensive", but it is by FAR the least expensive of the deluxe resorts so I think it's a good value for the money. It is frustrating now that half the resort has been converted into DVC rooms so it can be hard to get a room there and you may have to ask for availability at Copper Creek if you have your heart set of staying there. But I definitely agree it's the best for the price!

  • @zb6070
    @zb6070 ปีที่แล้ว

    swan/dolphin is by far the greatest deal, even with the other fees.
    However, I believe the epcot locating for me is overrated because my top park is magic kindgom and I feel that there bus service to MK is overrated. that said, I will take the epcot>mk due to the rates of swanphin

    I love the WL. But it was designed to be a moderate resort that turned out to be better than expected. The room sizes are what you'd expect from a Super 8 or Value resort. While the Poly, GF, and Contemporary have huge rooms you could park a mini van in and still have room to walk around. The pool and hot tubs, and food choices and bars are the some of the best on property.

    I agree that AoA is the best value resort. The suites and skyliner access it is worth the few extra dollars. I don't care for All Star Resorts. I am not a fan of Port Orleans, and I do not like Wilderness Lodge at all. That is probably my least favorite resort on all of Disney property. The AKL, or Poly are sooo much better.
