Hi Alice! I'm a Chinese international student who studies Medicine in the U.S., and I've watched every single one of your videos for a long time. So glad to see you talk about C-beauty!
I can't believe how cute this packaging is. I want all of them! Thanks for including info and links on the cruelty free stuff, as that's something I'm interested in.
Finally, there is some c beauty coverage from a non Chinese TH-camr! These are perceived as the lower quality and less expensive c beauty brands but any c beauty products available abroad without having to deal with the expensive and lengthy shipping is very welcomed ! ❤🎉
Waaait these are the lower quality brands? …what are the high quality brands? I was so impressed with these, now you got me wondering what possibilities exist 🤣
@@AliceintheRabbitHole just saw your urban outfitters post after I replied. They actually sell Kaleidos on urban outfitters. They lip clay and eyeshadows are must tries. Fun fact, lip clays is a new and iincreasing popular lip product format in the past years, but it might be dryer than glosses as they tend to be matte
I got the Zeesea blush too, I'm very happy with it! I got it in Rose and it's very workable, I definitely need to use it lightly but I think it looks great. I placed my order on 11/19 and it arrived today, 11/24! Absolutely blown away by how fast it came, just yesterday I saw it arrived in Alaska, I'm in upstate NY for reference. No clue how it came so fast!
Yuuup, that’s YesStyle express shipping for ya! It really is amazing. And the $109 minimum is before discounts too Glad to hear you’re enjoying the blush ☺️
Alice I love seeing the types of makeup in Korea, Japan and China. And be able to make more informed decisions about what we would like to buy. I really enjoyed the video 🥰
Agreed. However, I will not buy from Chinese brands. There are a plethora of ethical concerns and safety issues. I honestly would not be able to ever trust the packaging to be accurate. [Watch the China Show if you want the disturbing details of typical problems there.]
That catkin packaging is unbelievably pretty! I love the thought put into them. I enjoy Zeesea's as well but Catkin definitely has a more mature vibe. Great choices! I almost got that Zeesea palette, I was also looking at the cat palettes as well. They're too cute 🥰
I was aware of Flower Knows because of another content creator-Judy. The packaging alone is a draw, but the prices are beyond my budget. Still, I enjoy the beauty of the line. BTW, Judy has had difficulty getting some of the blushes to show on her, too.
This was so fun to watch and get your careful thoughts on how the ways you used the products and your very honest opinion about their quality. I hope that these companies reach out to you with products to try because I do enjoy watching makeup videos, even if skincare is what I love most. Also, I think some of the beautiful packaging is perfect for gift giving, so it comes at the perfect time.
Hi Alice, so far, I have used the Judydoll eye palette and I can use it for daily makeup. Zeesea is the more luxurious brand in C makeup. 😊 The Judydoll lip tint is nice in a way of just a one layer daily lip coverage and it helps when you are rushing for dateline and have lesser time to lip line... 😅
Thank you for sharing! You know, I can see that being a really good all in one lip product. Not sure I can change my preference (it’s gloss/balms LOL) but I think I’ll give it another try!
Oh and the velvet lip tints are usually blended out to create a blurred lip line. That’s why a lot of Chinese style makeup has models with plump and blurred lips that appear poutier than normal. They bring it above their Cupid’s bow.
Loved this! I was hoping you'd bought the lightest blush shade in the Flower Knows Swan collection. People seem to be using it as a brightening powder, I'm v tempted! Judy Doll looks amazing. I already added a liquid liner to my basket after you mentioned it in another video. Thank you!
Right!? Flower Knows is getting well-deserved attention for their packaging, but Zeesea has some very, very nice options as well (and frankly, way better price points!)
@@AliceintheRabbitHole I agree, they definitely have a more appealing price point. Plus that Alice collection was clearly meant for you 😊 Do you happen to know if they label things as pressed pigments versus eyeshadows in K/C/J Beauty? I’m finding my eyes are super sensitive and I really cannot use pressed pigments directly around them like some people can. But I don’t seem to be as sensitive to regular eyeshadow. it’s so sad too but I’m also thinking glitter is my eyes natural enemy. So I’m gonna have to just be happy with shimmers.
Catkin makes beautiful lipsticks. The formula is amazing. Alice- have you done a video of the best products to repair your skin barrier that are acne friendly? If not, can you do one! Pretty please!
Ooh I did a video on what worked for me recently (after a product gone bad, so frustrating!) - th-cam.com/video/cwCdW_tdLmI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=MURtXHzykXXf6jIx
The unicorn lipgloss is actually two lipgloss generations before the mermaid ones. The mermaid ones I’ve heard has the best film forming of the bunch. Their jelly lipstick is also film forming so you’re not suppose to rub your lips together after applying. Just let it sit for like a minute. Oh a C-beauty brand a lot of people use without realizing it is C-beauty is Kaleidos :D It’s very western style makeup.
Thanks for the heads up! Yup Kaleidos was technically the second C-Beauty brand I ever bought from - sooo good. I grabbed their liner and another palette in the UO sale too! 😁
I really placed my first order going “Hope this isn’t just pretty packaging…”. Now we are at this *gestures towards video* point 🤣 Hope you have a great weekend too! 🥰
I have to warned you that in Vietnam people have seen cases of severe allergic reactions to Colorkey Makeup. So just be careful and observe if your there is anything weird.
Cosmetics made and sold in China never had to be tested on animals However, international products coming *into* China DID have to go through testing, pre-2021. Which is why Mac and Nars lost their cruelty-free status upon entering China, but Zeesea has been cruelty-free since the beginning Everything changed in 2021 though, and now most cosmetics can enter the country without animal testing (there are exceptions for drugs, such as sunscreen products) Hope that helps, check out the links in the description if you want to read more ☺️

I’m so happy YesStyle is carrying them too - word is getting out about how great these brands are! 😁

Happy to help! Yes it was quite interesting to read through it all

This came at a perfect time for me! I'm from the US but recently moved to Taiwan, and many of these brands are available in drugstores here :)

Yeah they’re the priciest of these brands for sure (beat out only by Florasis, who I want to try but…I don’t want to pay that much 🤪🤣)
@@AliceintheRabbitHole If you’re willing to buy from Taobao, it’s like half the price.
They only mark up the prices for international buyers. If you buy in China it's only $8-20 each item. Drug store pricing.
@@AliceintheRabbitHole Wait till you find out about the brand Maogeping. Super pricey 🙊

you should check out the c-beauty brand kaleidos, their space age highlighter is multichrome and otherworldly
I definitely want to try more from them! 😃

For all over brightening or under the eyes? Now I’m curious about this too lol!
I've seen it used for both!@@AliceintheRabbitHole
I really want to try out the Zeesea blush in the deep color to see how well it would go with my skintone 💖
Flower knows makes the most stunning packaging. But I’m way more interested in the Zeesea after watching your reviews.

Hi Alice, Belated Happy Thanksgiving. Enjoyed the video and seeing the demo. Yes pls do more. Have a wonderful weekend.😊
Hope you have a fantastic weekend too! 🥰
Such a great video! Your presentation was lovely and your skin looks radiant!💗
Thank you so much!
The white lotus quote had me 😂😂😂
Thank you for this introduction. The packaging is gorgeous.
It really is! ☺️
I’d love to see a review on Avalon Organics skincare
The mirrors are absolutely beautiful 😍 ❌️⭕️
Sooo helpful review! Thank you. I hope you’ll continue to make cbeauty videos ❤️❤️❤️

Hope you have a great weekend too! 🥰
Nice, the right direction to go tbh 👍
can you try c-beatuy skincare for us they might be good idk discovering a new philosophy and style of skincare might be good
With how good the makeup went for me, I would like to! There’s not a lot on yesstyle yet but maybe there will be in the future? 😁
Hello… first here … yay! The “softer look” of K beauty suits you quite well
Happy Friday! 😁💕
The packaging is so beautiful ❌️⭕️
I can’t get over it! The amount of times I’ve picked it up just to gaze at it lol
Love this

Are these cbeauty brands vegan or cruelty free please tell us
