- The Day skipper theory course is absolutely amazing, I loved it. I have learnt so much it really was a great course to do, it teaches you everything from buoyage to colregs, lights, shapes, some sounds, weather, chart work like course to steer, estimated positions, dead reckoning etc, I think you get the idea it really is a great course. i hope you enjoy the video.

That's the advantage of recorded tutorial courses, you can replay them over and over studying at your own pace allowing you to absorb and remember more material. Do they do such courses too?
Thank you Alan. I have actually passed everything ans been out skippering a charter boat with anglers now.
I believe there is online learning but I would advise class room as you can ask questions if you become stuck

I see the point you make but for those unable to make the course or are uncomfortable in a classroom environment it might be a viable alternative.

Interesting watch this one, surprised you say it was easy. Im doing the same course online and got my final exams on Monday and to be honest ive found it hard. Im sorry i didnt do it in the classroom as i think it would of been easier. Ive had to do 4 pre assessment tests before my final 2 tests.
I feel the class room would be easier because you can ask questions I think the course is pretty simply just a lot to remember

Online will suit some people but I personally feel the class room is better to absorb it all. I did vhf online then did it via class room the same course ans the class room felt so much easier
