The off-key touches of this song are like bittermelon to me: They took me aback at the first few listenings, but then their genuine quirkiness started growing on me and now I'm lovin' them
This is arguably the best song in the summertide album imo Here are my reasons as to why. 1. Songs slaps even for first time listeners. It hooks you right in. It's relatable given the popularity of stoicism and recent dating dilemma where men would just rather be single than to deal with a headache. 2. The voice has a typical vibe of a narcissist, prideful, and egoistical woman but also someone who's insecure who happen to fall in love with someone and it frustrates her that she can't get what she wants. I think finding an artist that fits that vibe is hard to find but she actually fits which makes this an excellent chemistry. 3. The lyrics are just so dang good, it's also sassy, feeling high class, elegant, the story telling and talking while still singing is just so good to the ears 4. Instrumentals are great
I feel kinda sorry for being so late on listening in on this one but I've had it on repeat for a while now so there's that, but I'd genuinely love to see more!
