I just reread it and thoroughly enjoyed every page. It’s another masterpiece and I’m now about to read pillars for probably the 5th time.

You felt the love in Pillars, from the first episode of the new new series that didnt have an intro even close to Pillars I new instantly it wouldn't be as good, still good though.

This is Cool. It gives you an insight about Fall of Giants. With the whole story about Ethel running for government. He probably got the Idea from his wife's work in government.

True. However it was a tough act to follow

      I think it was better

@@mohamadrachidjalloul8603 Interesting. What did you find better? I felt Pillars was so well planned that the characters seemed magically entwined and World Without End was missing that. However, I did really like Gwenda and her story compared to all the characters in the 2 books.

@@clayton896 I think I liked the time setting more in world without end, the establishment of a parish guild for example, the first signs of a bourgeoisie class, in other words the beginning of a secular power. Also noting that it was written in the 2000s there is more boldness in the stories, we can see clearer citings of homosexual relations for example...
Don't get me wrong I still love the Pillars of the Earth so much, especially that I'm an architect and the architecture information in the book is spotless, and it's such a great craft how through the story of a building you cast light on medieval England. But it's just a personal preference to me when depiction of society in a novel starts to acquire more resolution, a clearer structure.

@@mohamadrachidjalloul8603 I see. I never really compared the two books in terms of the structure of society. You might more into that than me and able to appreciate it more. I do see your point with the boldness in WWE, but I completely forgot about the homosexuality in that book. That part of the story didn't really stand out for me.
