    I love this, how the Palenque say it's not just theirs but all of Colombians responsibility to preserve the culture. It gives a sense of unity within the heritage. Not just African or Latin, rather we are together. Really makes me glad I visited Colombia and further motivates me to keep coming back!! Thanks for the information.

    Nathali's favorite is also my favorite, I remember when I was a child that many pople loved the Alegria, but not me, I always went for the Cocadas, I'm from Cartagena, but the time I was most in contact with the palenque culture was the four years I lived in Coveñas, one of the best parts of my childhood for sure, in coveñas there was one palenquera in particular that always went specifically to our house because we always bought from her, She always called very loudly 'Mi Color!!' (My Color) to my dad, and me and my siblings ran out screaming 'Dad! cocadas, cocada!!!' hehehe

    Fun fact: The town does not accept being "influenced" by colombian urban planning, which means they don't want a city hall, but an interpretation of that based on their culture. Which is a town "assembly", this is why the town counts with many services, like water, and drinkable water but an " africanized way of life" with unpaved roas, ect

    • @sereroserera367
      @sereroserera367 6 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      Johan Rodriguez slight prejudice here. Unpaved roads are not African as you imply but just a lack of modernity. Africa today is full of paved roads and every country in the world has unpaved roads.
