I loved all of your projects so much in this video! The mailbox and the blue metal box were my favorites. You create with a soul spark that is heartfelt and joyful to watch. 💚
Oh Erin, Thank you so much, you have no idea the depth that your comment as affected me. "Soul spark"...I feel that to my core, and it is always my intention with my projects!! 🥰
This video had so many nuggets of fun creativity! Love your show and tell! Creativity is abundant in your family my friend! ❤ you have inspired me!! Thank you for just being you!!
Thank you friend!! Yes, I’m realizing that creativity and art in our family isn’t cookie cutter, and am sooo grateful for that fact! Thank you for accepting me as me and always cheering me on!! 🥰
Such great projects, it's too difficult to pick just one favorite! Love them all! Also your new tree skirt is just beautiful, you are one lucky & loved Mama.
IOD Transfer are the best! They are definitely a way to add so much value to a project! Yours are all beautiful! Love your studio space! Just keep a work area clean enough to keep creating! The time you spend going through all of it you could be creating! 😂 Downsize by using! If you see items you aren’t interested in anymore, pack them up. The more items you flip and move to your booth the less you’ll have to organize! If you don’t bring more in! 😂 Happy Crafting!
Yes, they definitely are! You have a good point about that organizing time…lol! 😂. Yes, that’s the plan…a big box ready to go for my discards and “what was I thinking?”😂
That cutting board organizer IS GORGEOUS 🌺 Just finished watching entire video ... WOW ! LUV EVERYTHING 🌺🌼❄️ Incldng ur craft room😊which looks just FINE 2 me. Just stop buying & start using what UV already got🤩🌞🤩
LeaAnne so glad you had a good time in AZ! You did find some good treasures. They all turned out beautifully. I too am organizing and I started with my studio and then my storage room and will move to the basement next. Wishing you the best with that! It is quite the task 😅
My daughter is trying to take up quilting, after my mother in law.... I don't have the patience for it! Your daughter seems to have the knack!! I share your love for old metal boxes... I love old wood boxes and crates as well!! It turned out gorgeous! I would organize tools first if you need to. I hate when I'm looking all over for a certain tool!
I love all your projects so much. My aunt was a quilter and made beautiful tree skirts which everyone wanted. I think you should work on your studio first. Having everything organized and in its spot makes it easier to start projects. You can tackle the others after your primary spot is done!
Awesome finds! Love your ideas too. But, anything that has rust, you should spray them with a rust protector. It stops it from bleeding through any applications & won't rust any further. Let dry, then spray with a clear coat. Then your transfers will stick
Each project is gorgeous. However the last one is my absolute fave. What a bonus with the vintage medical goodies inside! Great job as always!😊 Oh, I almost forgot to mention the beautiful job your daughter did on your tree skirt. I know it's a cherished treasure
I put an Elysium transfer on an old window last week and somehow tore part of a flower so had a blank area. I took a bee transfer from another book, maybe Brocante and put it over the bare spot! Easy fix! Love your projects, btw!
Your daughter’s tree skirt is beautiful. I wish at least one of my daughters wanted to learn something from me, you are truly blessed. I especially loved the blue metal box. I think I would tackle the studio first. You’re lucky, I can’t even walk into my studio and now I have to share a very small portion of it with my husband’s work desk since they don’t have a brick and mortar office anymore. I so want to get in there and organize it but I really don’t even have room to walk. Good luck!
Just found your channel and I am now a subscriber. I loved all of these projects, my fav is the last one the blue box. The tree skirt your daughter made is gorgeous! I love anything quilted!
Tree skirt - A+++! Your projects - ALL fantastic! Beautiful! Creative! I found the best part was your flow of not letting a blooper in the IOD transfer bother you. Honestly, I could not see any missed pieces when you showed the final view. It all looked vintage and “perfect”. Thank you for the reminder to “enjoy the creative process”. ❤
The Tree Skirt is beautiful! Store bought gifts can never outshine a gift that was specifically made for you/us. ❤ Beautiful diy’s as well! Creating beautiful things must run in the family…
You are a woman after my own heart, I don’t like brush strokes, I only like natural looking distressing and I like things to be “finished” so I appreciate you taking the time to do the bottom of the basket. To me it makes a big difference to what I will and won’t pay for. Your work always shows care and thought has been put into the piece and I appreciate that and would not hesitate to purchase a piece from you. However I find so many people are just slapping some paint on and only on the front, distressing too much of it back off again then they plonk a decal or a transfer on it and declare it finished calling it a lovely rustic piece. Quality over quantity will always be the winner in my book. So I would not call you a perfectionist you are an artist that uses thought and care as part of your process. ❤🇦🇺
Oh Natalie, thank you so very much for this comment! Thank you for watching and recognizing those little finishing touches. Sometimes they’re small but make such a big difference! 🥰
I have had that happen with transfers when using the "riding the wave" method. I have learnt her to be very careful to have my left thumb down on the transfer at the end, so it can't go rogue!
Thanks so much!! I would definitely recommend Deseret Industries. Their locations are usually huge and great prices. Whenever I go back, that’s my first (and third, fifth, etc) shopping destination. East Mesa, has some great places too, as well as Phoenix. Enjoy your trip and thank you for watching!🥰

How do you clean your brushes that you use with the oil wax? I end up throwing mine out because they never come clean because of the oil and wax mixture. I have a brush cleaner but it doesn’t work…
Love the metal box and mailbox!!
❤❤❤Your daughter❤❤❤
Awww, thank you!! 🥰

I love your projects ❤
I think the last one where the transfer stuck could use a bird or butterfly over the damaged spot. ❤
Thank you, that’s a good idea.
This video had so many nuggets of fun creativity! Love your show and tell! Creativity is abundant in your family my friend! ❤ you have inspired me!! Thank you for just being you!!

That's a fabulous idea, thank you!!🥰

Thank you, and I’d have to agree!!! 😍
What a beautiful tree skirt your daughter did❤
YES!! I just had to show it off!! 😍
I liked the box the best!!! All were lovely!
Thanks so much!!😊
All beautiful! Start with the biggest room first. Go big or go home they say. Good luck.
Thank you! Ah yes, I’ve used that saying many times, but for some reason it’s hitting a little different now!! 😂
I absolutely love the blue box!
Thank you, me too! I think that transfer can’t look bad on anything either! 😊

Oh this is exciting!! I’m excited to see… I love functional decor!!
Me too!!😆
Quilting is such a beautiful craft. Your daughter did a beautiful job. Very, very talented. Proud mama you are! ❤
Yes, yes I am!! ❤️🥰❤️
Amazing all the love that went into it
💯 🥰
Blue box is my fav
Thank you, me too! 🥰

Thank you for your thoughts....I was ready to organize my storage room, but I'm leaning more to the studio...lol!
I LOVE THE TREE SKIRT YOU DAUGHTER MADE!
Thank you! I just had to show it off! 😍

Oh Caroline, thank you so much for sharing those thoughts with me, I appreciate it more than you know!
The Tree Skirt is beautiful! Store bought gifts can never outshine a gift that was specifically made for you/us. ❤
Beautiful diy’s as well! Creating beautiful things must run in the family…
Thank you so much and you are so very right about the love that goes into handmade!! Yes, I must say creation does run in the family!❤️
I would suggest the craft room first (mainly because for me it helps my creativity). Also I found so many things going thru my stash! 😮😂❤

@ they make a very big difference! Keep doing what you’re doing it will pay off in the long run. ❤️
Your Daughter’s gift is phenomenal! I am amazed by what she did!
Thank you for sharing!
RIGHT!?! I couldn’t help but share, it’s so beautiful!😍
You can cut your transfer into smaller pieces that fit and put tog like a puzzle around hard shapes or edges, helps me 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😇☃️☃️☃️
Yes! I think I was too excited to get my hands on them again after a month away…lol 🤦♀️🤷♀️😂
I would do the studio first. I wasn't sure about the metal box, but really liked the finished product.
Thank you, I’m debating…studio or storage first?🤔
That has happened to me with transfers before. Rarely but so sad when it does 😢
It totally caught me by surprise, but glad to know it’s not just me! 😂🤷♀️
New subscriber!! Hi! I love the projects but mailbox and last one are my favorites.
Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here, and thanks so very much!! 🥰
I have had that happen with transfers when using the "riding the wave" method. I have learnt her to be very careful to have my left thumb down on the transfer at the end, so it can't go rogue!
Ooh, good tip, thank you!
All🎉❤
Thank you!
Good morning, love your projects! Will be in Arizona soon. Hope you don't mind me asking...Where did you thrift?
Thanks so much!! I would definitely recommend Deseret Industries. Their locations are usually huge and great prices. Whenever I go back, that’s my first (and third, fifth, etc) shopping destination. East Mesa, has some great places too, as well as Phoenix. Enjoy your trip and thank you for watching!🥰
Love how all your projects came out. What part of AZ were you in? I lived in the PHX area all my life until 2 yrs ago. Moved to MD to be closer to my kids.
I lived there most of my life too! We left two years ago too after spending 32 years in Chandler.
@SmallGesturesVintageCrafts I grew up in Glendale then moved to Surprise. We have friends in the Chandler area. It just got too hot there for us older folks. Time to experience 4 seasons. So far we love it.
Agree 100%! Too hot and too crowded!!
@@SmallGesturesVintageCrafts oh absolutely. And people call us crazy for moving here instead. Lol
My whole room looks like a massive tornado went thru after all the craft stores vomited in my room hahaha
😂😂. I just love that analogy!!
@SmallGesturesVintageCrafts makes for a VERY busy, get cracking at organizing, new year project!!!
How do you clean your brushes that you use with the oil wax? I end up throwing mine out because they never come clean because of the oil and wax mixture. I have a brush cleaner but it doesn’t work…
My go-to is castille soap and sometimes Murphy's oil soap. They are both amazing at getting them clean and nourishing the bristles as well.
Awesome! Thank you so much!! I’m gonna get the Murphy oil soap.
❤
With dark and decrepit it's still food safe
That’s interesting, I’ll have to do some more research, I didn’t think it was food safe.
❤
