The inlet opening size and shape largely explains the noise quality differences, and outlet opening partially explains the difference in air speed vs air volume. That larger inlet opening on the Milwaukee give it a less harsh sound. I agree about those m12 grips. Somehow the similar Bosch ones don't bother me as much, but either way it is the battery insert design compromise.
The stats on the M12 blower are higher than Milwaukee's M18 compact blower. So its impressive for a 12v tool but all these 18v compact blowers are 10 year old tech now and due for an update
The mph on the compact m18 is 160mph at 100 cfm the n12 is 110mph. And 175 cfm The tube is alot smaller on the m18 and it blows differently. I'd rather more cfm than mpg tho
i pointed a heat gun into the intake of the makita blower so that i could dry a slab very quickly, and it worked very well, until the fan blades in the blower got so hot that they turned to plastic spaghetti and fully clogged it up, would recommend
@@markk3948 not like an actual hand held heat gun but one of those big fan things that burns gas on the inside like a jet engine idk what they’re actually called but they move a massive amount of hot air
Very impressed with this review! I do like my M12 mini, but I was fully expecting it to do far worse against the competition you had lined up. Squirrel-cage blowers usually out-perform anything with a straight-through fan. They are normally FAR quieter as well. You proved both of these 'norms' to be false. Nice.
Thanks for the video. You were saying the angle on the m12 was bad. If thats the case milwaukee has a m18 blower that looks the same as the others you have showed.
1. About 3 metres each time. For the one that drops in from above, I had to throw it up quite high to get the vertical drop effect so maybe 4-5 metres. 2. About 4 more.
They are import only. I had to get mine from Zen market. But would be cool to see the HiKOKI RB36DB and hikoki RA18DA(NN). Espically the ra18 as according to the few I've seen use it. It's 2x powerful as the 40v makita verison
I've got the rb36db in black(the one that cycles air through the handle), and it's tiny, way smaller than I was expecting. It's nice for sawdust, but I wish I would've gotten the rb18dc as it's 3x more powerful, and could be used to clear out whole rooms or roofs like a leaf blower, but much smaller.
Hey Tools, you posted a photo of the Hikoki metal cut saw with stand a while back. Think it is model number CD3605DFA and only available in Japan. Any chance you will be getting that for review some time? Only reviews I can find are in Japanese.
Nice review. If that dewalt is still in the bin, you may want to retrieve it. I have the Milwaukee version of that, and had that same problem if you pulled the trigger too fast with some batteries, it would cut out like that one. I found that if I pulled the trigger just a bit more slowly, it ran fine. I've used and abused it for years. Great little blower with a little quirky trigger that works fine. The Milwaukee version comes with an extension pipe, the rubber nozzle, and inflation adapters for air mattresses, pool toys, etc, and is very handy. It doesn't, however, come with the locking attachment point on the suction side, like the Makita, which I also have. I cannot tell any difference in performance between them. This Milwaukee M12 blower hasn't gotten the great reviews, but they usually pit it against the big blowers, which isn't realistic, in my opinion, so I appreciate this test. I didn't intend to purchase one of these, but after seeing it in a fair test, I won't hesitate. Keep up the great work. BTW, any news on an 18v version of that little Makita dust blower?
The new Milwaukee 12v is not compact blower, I love new 12v impact and drill but not fan for this blower. 12v is need to be compacted otherwise why we don't get M18 line for decent power.
Rofl for the DeWalt 😅
I also don't like the ergonomics of in handle battery, that is why I went with makita 12v line.
you're a lucky man! my girlfriend doesn't blow my deck...😡

The De walt clip had me in stiches 🤣😂
Like the rear air intake rather than on the side. Won't get blocked when it hits your right leg like the Makita if you are right-handed.

Lol omg ur comical. What if you blew into the heat gun would that have worked better? Lol

Blow the deck.. bruh 😅
That part right there sounded like Korg from Thor 😂 had me dying

Don’t know if y’all have them there yet but you should try the new HO 5ah M12 battery to see if it makes a difference in power compared to the 6ah!
What's better in your opinion the m12 blower or the makita high speed blower/inflater ?
Thank you for comparing with other brands
I wasn't ready for the DeWalt 😂😂😂
Out of pure curiosity.. for science:
1. How far was the dewalt tossed?
2. How many more thrown attempts were there?
1. About 3 metres each time. For the one that drops in from above, I had to throw it up quite high to get the vertical drop effect so maybe 4-5 metres.
2. About 4 more.
Some went in too easy. I wanted them all to bounce off until the last shot.
Love the Kiwi accent. "My wife likes to blow the deck"
Could you do a comparison of the makita xgt vs the Milwaukee dual battery blower next!? I haven’t been able to find one at all
Tru torque test channel project farm or shop tool reviews I'm pretty sure one of them did the comparison and the dual m18 won

Why not use the larger 18v makita which looks similar to the Milwaukee? Love the comparison though.
blowing the deck if very important. happy wife happy life
6:15 made my day 😂😂😂
I never know that Milwaukee factory located in my country Thailand. That surprise.

Super video as usual. Could you please make video on cordless leaf vacuum?
The m18 fuel is a lot better then this m12 though right
Fill up an air mattress with each of them!
Would like to see it up against the Hikoki
Thank you for this content! 👍 Helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
I don’t have much of an issue with the m12 handles and my hands aren’t that large.
took me a sec to realize you were saying deck
Dysona do sprzątania mieszkania. Częściej się przyda 😂
Looks good
I haven't had my deck blown by my wife in a while... must be nice
I mean the Dewalt is only advertised for 100 cfm so at least they weren't inflating their numbers lol😂

You're right. It's like a slightly smaller leaf blower, so it's slower speed/higher volume. The other ones are spot blowers
If you have other 12v Milwaukees it makes some sense.
did anyone else hear something @ 00:27
M12 Handle ergonomics are just fine for my larger than average hands. ;-)
Try it on a car 🤔
It won't be able to blow a car very far.
@@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL we can dream... Was more thinking connecting it to the intake 🙃
I find no problems with the grip.

Lmfao odd pronunciation of "deck"
That's how we all say it down here.
@@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL Across there in the east!
Never heard it described as East before.
Maybe if one day if a battery blower can match my Husqvarna 525BX in performance, I might concider it, providing it doesn't cost me a kidney! 😂
There are already several more powerful.

No
