Where’s the battery pack and how long is the cord? Can you charge it in-place? can you leave the charging cord in and hide the power brick somewhere? have a window that is 15 ft off the floor at the top (in a stairway) and I don’t want to go up on a ladder every 6 months to charge
Lithium battery is in the upper rail. There is a plug that hangs down a couple inches and every few months you connect a wall charger that has 10-15' cord on it and you charge it for an hour or so. I also have a window in a 2 story foyer that is wayyy up a ladder. For that one I connected a small solar panel that keeps it charged all the time.
Wow I would have returned them, my blinds (Roman shades )were perfect. Now we didn’t order the motorized, only issue we have is the location of the cord, behind the blind.
They remade the one, but they are still a hot mess and poor quality. They offered a discount on my next order - which may or may not happen. To be clear not all their roman shades are garbage, but these from the Mexico factory certainly are.
Thanks for the helpful review. I’m now looking at the classic motorized romans instead. You mentioned that you were able to get them to work with the NEO controller, did you need to do anything special or did it work out of the box just as any of their “compatible” shades? I don’t currently have any motorized shades so I wanted to understand it before purchasing. Thanks!
The neo controller works with way more of their shades than they acknowledge. If you download the Neo app, you can see in the app all the different remote controls it works with and compare that against the shades your are looking at. Unfortunately I can't post a photo of it here. For the remotes in the app, it's is pretty simple, you just follow the pairing process in the app and then G2G.
I have been a customer of selectblinds.com for a number of years and have placed several order with them. This is the first product I had a real issue with and the customer service has been an epic fail. As best I can tell their goal is to be the Comcast of customer service in the shades category. Most of you know that is NOT a good thing. Stay away from the lifestyle roman shades, there are far better offerings. The no-bracket mounting system they tried to cheap-out with on this shade is non-starter for the motorized version of the this shade. The motor tube is huge and forgot about trying to mark the holes or get the screws past the motor tube. IT DOESN'T WORK. Their support manager admitted to me that the no-brackets mounts were garbage and he was trying to convince the product managers to drop it from their offerings, but no luck so far.
@Ken White ken, please see my other comments on this video, the shade with the stains was remade but still had all the other problems described. you and i discussed this at length at the time and you generally agreed the shades from this factory are inferior and you said you tried to get management to drop them. you said you could not give me a refund because i paid using PayPal but you offered me a credit on a future order. thank you for your assistance and for watching. i stand by my recommendation to avoid this particular line of shades.

@@socomon69 good to know, so the changing plug can be left in
@@socomon69 good to know, so it can be connected to a solar charger while continuing to operate? Any recommendation on the panel model you used?
@@correcthoarsebatterystaple who ever you buy the blinds from will likely offer a solar panel to go with it
so helpful thank you @@socomon69
just the review and comment questions I was looking for..before purchasing shades..thank you so much
