The constant stress of knowing a mess needs managed but not having the bandwidth to address it, so relatable !! Lovely pattern collection, can’t wait to see that butterfly dress as well if you film it xx

It’s also such a relief that I am not alone 😀 I’ll definitely be filming the butterfly dress. With my limited tech skills I’m also going to try to work out how to give away the pattern piece (as a pdf) for the butterfly sleeve as I know a few people want it! Xx

Thank you so much for your reassurance about my craft clutter! I wonder if I’ll manage to keep to my resolution of tidying up after myself?! It’s lovely to hear that you enjoy my videos - receiving comments like this make it so worthwhile making them.
I loved this video, you made me giggle with your witty sense of humour and the doggies with their cuteness! Also your loft is like a candy store for sewists and vintage enthusiasts! So many lovely things.. I loved the red bin idea for hats. It was all so enjoyable to watch ❤❤
Thank you very much Arietta I had to push myself to keep tidying and not to just sit up there flipping through the magazines! It is my personal candy store up there. Such a blessing to have fellow vintage enthusiasts like you who appreciate it. My brother thinks it’s hilarious that all my ‘rubbish’ as he sees it has value to other people - not, as he’s long thought - just me! 😆❤️❤️
Oo you have so many cute things! I love your robe and all the pretty hats. Good job on tidying, your space looks so much more manageable! I love that you save so many things from going to waste
Thank you very much! One day I will do a video on vintage novelty fabric prints. The house robe I was wearing (1930s) has such a good novelty print. Thank you for appreciating my hats too. I didn’t realise I had so many. It seems they have been multiplying like gremlins up in the loft! The space does feel much more manageable - thank goodness! 💕

Good for you for getting organized and thanks for showing what is so real and authentic. Nobody is perfect! I always have a designated house cleaning day every week and when I get overwhelmed it’s the first thing to get pushed out. You’re right that there is only so much time in the day! You have lots of fun things to look at though! I also love that you rescue the things people put out by the side of the road. That chest of drawers looks like a great find!
Thank you so much Katie🌸 A combination of not coping with the grief of losing my old dog Treacle and all those experts saying you have to upload weekly meant that I worked on videos all the time I wasn’t working in my job. It kept my feelings at bay. But I really self neglected at the same time. I’m trying to get more balance back into my life. I feel Treacle’s spirit is keeping me company and I’m making my home more like home again. Thank you always for your support 💗🌸
Thank you very much Beverley 💗 There is something satisfying about seeing mess tidied up isn’t there?! Unfortunately the landslides of stuff in the loft are starting to set in again already 😆xx
Oh I’m so pleased you said that! The 1930s is my favourite era and I can’t resist pattern magazines from that time. So good to know another 30s fashion enthusiast 😁 Thank you for encouraging me! ❤️🥰
I often think to myself 🤔 I've just got too much stuff to fit the space in my house!! That thought evaporates very quickly when the next parcel arrives from Ebay! 😂😂😂 Case in point when yet another Terry's of York 1960s chocolate box with drawers came today. The bonus was, it gave me the impetus to clean off six months of dust and piles of grot on the bedroom furniture and have a very satisfying tidy up!! Lovely to see you ❤ and Lovely to see your spectacular clear up!! Now doesn't that feel better 😊
That burst of summer sunshine we had did rather show up the dust didn’t?! 😆 And made me realise my windows need cleaning! Oh yes, I feel lighter now I’ve done the big loft tidy. I also went through all my tedious paperwork (that didn’t really warrant a video 😂). A Terry’s of York 1960s chocolate box with drawers! You simply had to have it. Space can always be found for such a prize collector’s piece! I’ve also been busy at the dentist! One tooth (lower left towards the front) out and Invisalign in. You will notice me doing less close up talking to the camera 😂
@@Samanthalovestosew I struggle with window cleaning, all that effort and poor results!! I gave up years ago 😄 Eeek!! You've succumbed to the Invisalign! Hoorah for you 👏 I'm now on my second phase. It'll be ten months worth in total then then a ton load of more work. Let me know how you go 😁
Oh thank you for letting me know that I am not the only person with a craft room of shame!! Of course I’m now determined to keep it tidy (there’ll probably be another clear up video next Spring 😂) xxxx💗💐
Thank you very much! I can’t tell you how much more serene I feel now everything is organised (and I’m being very disciplined tidying up after myself 😆) Thank you about the garden - it’s my little piece of heaven 🌸
You’ve got so many beautiful things, Samantha!! I sew in my walk in closet and it got so cluttered that I didn’t even want to sew in it!! I organized it a few days ago and found some things I thought I’d lost - imagine that 🙄. I, too, hate waste and have been known to “rescue” things thrown out. Wow, a 1600’s cottage is so amazing. How many stories its walls could tell? Thanks for sharing your organizing and love the puppies and your spitfire outfit!!!
I’m so relieved it isn’t just me!! 😃 And I love that we’re in synch with our big tidy ups! And, yes, I found something I’d combed every inch of my cottage for. Some years ago I did a jewellery course and spent an entire year making a solid silver rosehip for a pendant. I found it in a tiny box I’d accidentally put inside a large box of costume jewellery for repurposing. I can’t tell you how many hours I’d searched and always mourned its disappearance. Thank you too for recognising the spitfire outfit and appreciating the puppies 💕 Love my little cottage - apparently it was once a little school!
what an absolute amazing collections you have , what treasures ! 🤩 , I love the 1920 -30 ‘s style 🥰 I understand you when you spot something special and beautiful it’s difficult to just ignore it when it’s something that someone don’t treasure but is throwing away like garbage ☹️ all furniture in my home are old recycled , I love they all have a long story 🤗 I have a large collection, and it takes space …I know the struggle to keeping it in order 😅
Thank you very much! I always feel so understood when my collections are appreciated! And I’m pleased to know that you too have recycled vintage furniture in your home ☺️ There’s always something else that needs rescuing isn’t there?! A nice little insight into your life and perhaps mind? You rarely hear people describing themselves as maximalist anyway after a bit of self diagnosis I too am a maximalist. I keep so many things with good intentions to use or 'just in case' and years later they are still unused. I thought as you walked upstairs to your loft, the stairs with NOTHING on them except the hares that live there, you could have used the theme from Jaws as your soundtrack. I have a little collection from the 1950s, mainly because I love the sleeves so much. It’s a shame you don’t live in the next street Ian.
