- Severide and the team get to a construction site where a worker got his arm trapped inside a machine.

Casey (Jesse Spencer) confronts Detective Voight (guest star Jason Beghe) about his harassing tactics, vowing never to back down, and ends up paying the price for his decision. Dawson (Monica Raymund) faces disciplinary action for her on-the-job conduct. Meanwhile, Severide (Taylor Kinney) finds his arm failing him during a rescue at a construction accident, and reaches out to Anna (guest star Mouzam Makkar), an old flame and pharmaceutical rep, hoping she might be able to help alleviate his injury problems. David Eigenberg, Charlie Barnett, Lauren German, Teri Reeves and Eamonn Walker also star.

I'm not squeamish but this episode was a "yikes" for me. The guy who's arm got stuck gave a great performance. It looked like he was actually in pain.

The rescue was actually quite realistic, apart from the medic screaming at the patient, that would be a no-go, and safety gear must always be on (at least helmet, pants and gloves). You would probably also try to get an emeegency doctor asap to the emergency to get him pain-killing meds, and also cut the bloodstream off of that arm
I believe she was shouting at the other workers from the facility as they was there when it happened :) That is my best guess

My dad helped a kid to not loose his arm in a similar machine . The arm of the kid was between rollers in a machine that bakers use.
The firefighters wanted to cut the child arm to save him but my father refused he said he could disarm the machine fast and he did since he had a loot of tools.
That was in around 2000.

The firefighters weren’t like in that movie.
The kid is now a grown up , and he hace is arm.
So i guess everything worked fine in the end.
But man i still remember the mom of the kid crying wen they told her about that.

one thing is sure : i don't think i would want to have a job in a factory like this. i also always disliked the trips at the hospital. otherwise i never saw that series, i though it would be boring but now i think not. i wouldn't be against it. crazy how firemen can save people from spectacular accidents, that's what should make that series entertaining

My mom worked in a taxtile company in Swaziland. She told me of a such incident. The victim's arm was total crushed between the rollers such that doctors were called to cone to the scene and separate the crushed part by cutting before transferring the victim to hospital. Please anyone working with machinery please be safe becareful.

@@ccharmolypi Some old worker reached over a lathe without turning it off; it grabbed his sleeve and pulled his arm in, breaking it; then gradually pulled in the man's shoulder, chest, etc. breaking everything, until his body was so broken that it would just spin on the lathe, spraying chunks of his flesh all around the workshop. In 20 seconds he was gone, all that was left was a red paste on the floor and a piece of his arm still left on the machine. Nasty was to go, and he was probably conscious throughout much of it.
The first time I watched it, I actually had to talk to a therapist because of how fucked up it was. Never again do I want to see that ever

у нас так наладчику руку не оторвало на конвейере , парниша который рядом был на ураганной скорости успел добежать то щитка и обрубить питание. еще секунда и по самое плечо зажевало бы. но обошлось . народу набежало и медики и инженер по охране труда с директором. наладчика потом уволили , но руку сохранил правда без трех пальцев. примерно также было как в фильме , пока слесаря извлекали руку медик с нач цеха успокаивали его , чтоб он на руку не смотрел , напряжение эмоциональное такое же было
