I wrote the lyrics on a word doc and yeah I was reading them. Lol Don't have them memorized yet as I just wrote them.
    Verse 1
Clouds are hanging low, rain's tapping on the pane.
The kind of day that makes you feel the weight of the pain.
But there's a road out back stretching far and wide.
It don't ask where you've been just come for a ride.
    Chorus:
The road keeps rolling The sky don't stay gray.
Storms might linger but they always drift away.
Dust settles slowly and the night finds the dawn.
You keep moving forward, cuz "Hope Don't Stay Gone".
    Verse 2
Battered pickup humming The radio turned down.
A silent whisper says you'll find solid ground.
Every mile is a story every turns a chance,
Leave behind the past and learn how to dance.

@@Paul.Jr.Wayling No it's open C. My acoustic has been tuned to jam with Steven Wilson Jr the last week and I just started messing around in this tuning and came up with something on my own. This is my attempt at stepping outside of my comfort zone lol. I didn't want to forget what I came up with so I made a video. Could definitely use a little bit better recording and I'm going to refine how I sing the lyrics a little. Definitely going to jump down a little original writing rabbit hole. SWJ inspired me. Really appreciate the comment.
