The fourth engine option for the dynamic two-door model is a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder petrol engine with an output of 180 kW/245 hp and a maximum torque of 400 Nm. The new drive unit will feature in the BMW 230i Coupé (fuel consumption combined: 7.2 - 6.5 l/100 km; CO2 emissions: 163 - 149 g/km according to WLTP) with classic rear-wheel drive. Power delivery and emissions behavior have been optimized by an exhaust manifold integrated into the cylinder head and an advanced turbocharging system for the BMW TwinPower Turbo technology.
The new engine is combined with an 8-speed Steptronic sports transmission as standard. The range of equipment and functions includes gearshift paddles on the steering wheel and Launch Control, which enables the new BMW 230i Coupé to accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. Among other things, an M sports differential in the final drive is available as an option for the new model variant.

My fuel door won’t open on my 2022 230i. How am I supposed to refuel? Dealer says part is back ordered for 2 months. Also been told there is no longer a backup cable release in the trunk?? Why would they get rid of the cable release for fuel door like older BMWs have??
There should be a release cable or the ability to access the release from inside the vehicle.
@@MikesCarInfo BMW (according to the dealer) no longer has a release cable in the 2022 230i. Just dumb!! Apparently it’s a problem since the part is / months back ordered.

@@MikesCarInfo just dumb they would eliminate the cable in the trunk to release the fuel door. My other cars that cost a lot less don’t have this problem.

A month or two ago I remember evryone getting angry that BMW was going to a subscription service for heated seats. It was to be a monthly fee. Maybe that was only Europe? Does this car lock features behind monthly payments?

@@MikesCarInfo Well, it's a BMW. How about sacrificing half the segment on interior crap and take it for a solid thrashing down a nice twisty road? If I want an appliance, I'll buy a Toyota.
