Bro you kind of invaded their little business 😂😂😂. Some srilankans do this as a small business to support their lives. You gotta give them some money. Also the Aquarium owner had to put more details as it gave you the wrong idea
Bit of unique travel there buddy. Wish someone was there to help with communication. Looks like breeding for exports. Small businesses/Local communities do this and pet/fish shops from the main city buy them for reselling inside the country or sometimes for experts. Sri Lanka is amongst the top exporters of guppy and betta fish aka fighters aka Siamese fighting fish (the one in the small mason jars)
Thats a betta Fish bro Its a high breed bro not a natural breed fish Though parent betta breed exists bro in parts of Thailand and Vietnam in rice fields paddies and small stream These are from gourami family
What the lady said is that "They buy little fishes from a supplier at 'Alawwa' who has a breading plant, and here thay feed them "
my all time favourite pet was a red beta fish he was unbeaten and the most elegant looking fish ever❤ love you red❤
My goodness! I have never seen so many Betta fish in one place! What a find.
They were saying that they buy small baby fish from somewhere else and raise them to sell.
That makes sense! If my phone signal was a bit better, I probably would have found that out while I was there haha. Thanks for clarifying! 🙏
