THANK YOU...for sharing. My older brother is a big fan of Menards cars, not yet out of the boxes but sure he will have this issue...thank you for sharing.
Hi MC. No I haven’t done anything with the flatcars. I believe there are 2 types of flatcars that Menards makes. One is the larger scale size and the other is the 027 type. I know the larger one has metal trucks and they are the same as the boxcars I believe. The 027 flatcar trucks I think are 1 piece molded plastic. I’m sorry I don’t have an answer for you, I just haven’t had to work on ours. Thanks for watching. Happy Railroading! 🚂🚋🚃
I have the same problem with my Menard's flat cars. And the trucks are riveted on. I did a poor repair on mine. A small rubber band around the neck of the coupler seems to keep them closed. but it is ugly. One day I'll drill out the rivet and replace it with a machine screw and try the grinding repair.
@@edwinfriedl2446 That sucks! Sounds like that is your best option for now. Good luck when you get a chance to fix it completely. Thanks for watching. Happy Railroading! 🚂🚋🚃
Tracy Loop Oh wow. Yea they are nice cars for the price. We have had 2 that the couplers wouldn’t stay closed on but never the tab dragging. We’ll have to keep our eyes open for that.
Trainguy1225 Railfan Productions, look them up on the internet. Menard’s.com and search O gauge Trains. They have a lot of neat stuff and they ship. Good luck and thanks for watching.
conrail guy , maybe in the future. We have done a little with Steam engines when we’ve had a chance. Check out our videos of the Pere Marquette 1225 and the Nickel Plate 765. We hope to catch the 4449, 844, 611, 261, and 4014 (when restoration is complete) in action as well. Really any Steam engine we can catch running we want to see and film.
conrail guy, sweet. Caleb wants to go to Steamtown. He seen it on the internet and seen that they have UP Big Boy 4012 among all the other great locomotives in their collection.
Well done✔️. Thank you.
