Started playing a few days ago. Lock Out Dante is very popular and near impossible match up for me. I don’t want this game to be Lock Out Dante vs Lock Out Dante but that’s what it’s looking like.
Yeahh its definitely the best deck atm. Black Frenzy (from the last new set, TDD) is the best way to beat it and really the only other Tier 1 decks this season. Wesker's Bringer of Nightmares or Oichi's Dancing Dead especially make it winable. If you're not playing either of those then Jill Explore, Green.exe, Temptation Control, and Nerg Spike Launch are also very viable. Previous tier 1 decks like Burn Dive Attack and Green Frenzy took a huge hit to Lock coming out sadly, but can still rock their other Match ups. All else fails, a new balance patch and supplemental cards come out at the end of the month, which should be a bit of a shakeup
Honestly I think this deck is a terrible vision of the future of Teppen. I started with Teppen because I wanted to play a game were both players can interact and show their skill. This deck reminds me why I left yugioh because the current meta for that game is basically winning by not letting your opponent play anything.
As an ex-YGO player (late 2018-late 2020) I totally see where youre coming from, but I love this deck because its so interactive. Besides Desdemona ofc (she needs more answers) almost everything we play is interaction, E&I especially. Its basically a control/tempo deck that has an insane early OTK. The mirror match is rich with skill expression, and other close MUs like the new black cards are also rly thoughtful and fun. We've definitely had worse solitaire decks in the past (denjin comes to mind, along with hsien-ko Big Resonate) and i think the devs know those arent popular. The deck is unquestionably pushing the envelope for power in Standard, but for me its in a good direction. (I might still be in the honeymoon period for the deck tho lol its a ot of fun rn)
Sorry, I have to do this everytime😂😭 Twinkulous😩

You basically have to play faster than the enemy to counter it. It's pretty funny this deck not being able to do anything if you fill up your board.
