METACOSMOS is a work for orchestra -- it was written for the New York Philharmonic and premiered in April 2018 conducted by Esa-Pekka Salonen.
This recording is from a live performance with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra from January 2019 conducted by Daníel Bjarnason.

The contrast between the chaotic, more atonal parts and the slow, lyrical parts creates a beautiful blend of emotions that perfectly encapsulate the intention of this piece. You can hear fear, awe, and sadness all rolled into one excellent piece. Extremely well done!

Thanks for introducing me to Anna Thorvaldsdottir. I happen to read the Nordic Mythology right now, and the music reminds me of the land of the Nordic gods, and of those gods themselves.', how they look, how they behave. Of course, this music reminds first of all of the Icelandic Nature.
