You should look into actual crazy quilting as well as "quilt as you go" methods, and learn how to quilt into a backing fabric more freely! Quilting isn't ALL about precision, perfect edges, meeting up neatly, etc! You can simply cut your center square and the cut shapes and quilt them together along the edges, just covering the pieces beneath. Stitch right sides together and you'll end up with a simple, fun, quilted project! I love this project and hope you'll do more like this in the future!
Oh good, because that's definitely what started happening towards the end, despite my best intentions to be really precise for once 😅
@@OdessaDenby ShannonMakes channel has a video or two about it that shows how cool the projects can come out. She's done a tote bag and Christmas stocking, and is starting a whole quilt as well.
It's so cute❤
Thank you!
Thank you for another good video and for adding to my to sew list lol
I hope you enjoy trying the pattern as well!
@@OdessaDenby I’m sure I will and it will fit well in my autumn/winter and even spring wardrobe as that is what I’m working on right now as it is autumn here in New Zealand 🇳🇿.
@@violetsidheoh, perfect!
That is wonderful
Thank you! I think this is a pattern everyone can have a lot of fun with
I want to say the linen is from a regency inspired dress or top from a few summers ago, and the fable print is also pretty familiar? Isn't that a really early project? I can't remember what the finished project was, but was that while you still used the chalk board in videos? Loved this, btw
Yes, the linen I used for bias tape is my regency inspired dress, well-spotted!
The fable started in my very first video on this channel back in early 2020! I then recycled it into a pattern test I did for Stitch Witch Patterns Lilith dress in 2022. I use the scraps wherever possible because I love it.
You've been with me from the beginning 🥲
I love it! It's very cute. I have so many patchwork clothes ideas whirring in my head. A patchwork vest is definitely among them.
Can't wait to see how it comes together... Definitely fits your voice!
