I remember me and my family went fishing on that bridge all the time, good memories! the sunken boat off the edge of the bridge is a great fishing spot
When you get to Georgetown, head towards the beach and you'll see it on your left as you cross the first causeway bridge. Take a left after the bridge and you're there! It's a nice location to watch the sun go down.
Thanks! You might have noticed that there is still some of the road on the other side of the Waccamaw river as you are heading towards Pawleys. There's a small pull over where you can park and walk it back to the river.
I lost a pair of expensive tortoise shell printed sunglasses from side of the broken bridge as a teenager! LOL... Georgetown is where I was born and raised

I remember that sunken boat now that you mention it. What a cool place to drop a line. All good memories here too.

.......memories of fishing, crabbing and my family on this bridge...👍
My wife and I were there just today. We decided to stop and take a walk on it on our way home.

I haven't seen this in years....my god the memories. Lol good times in the 80s and very early 90s when I was a kid.
On the eve of Hurricane Florence, this calms me. Thank you. Beautiful job.
Thank you. Be safe out there. I'm not looking forward to a repeat of Hugo.
Cool. I always try to do that when I'm in Gtown. It's like a piece of local history.
Wonderful! I wish I would have known about this old road a long time ago.. I've been right beside it, never knew it was there..

It's been a few years since I've been back home. Can you still see the mast sticking out of the water next to the old bridge?

i thought i was the only one that called it the broken bridge 😂
@@bennyrose7376 I've always called it that. lol... IDK why, probably just because that's all it looks like lol
Thank you!
Looks like Georgetown isn't going to flood much. Just came back.
These videos are amazing!!
Thank you!
Nice footage
Thanks 👍
I didn’t see it the day I was filming but I remember it as a child. Time and the tide took it away I guess.
Can someone give me the directions?
