Dan, I think the biggest problem in my life has to be social skills. I wasn't heavily bullied but everyone else seems to have a smooth social growth (making friends, initiating conversations, being "cool") growing up and they never seem to have any problems interacting with others. My childhood was a mess of isolation and anxiety which pushed further and further away from ever socializing.
I have dreams of my own to make this world a better place but in the nosedive to success, I have to be good at networking - at talking to people. This is such a big roadblock for me right now because on one end I want to show myself what I'm capable of but I can't help but teeter towards hating myself, that I am the same loser I was in school with nothing to show. It hurts when I know I could've been so much more if only I had a healthier childhood but I already know I shouldn't point fingers; I am in control of my own life now. Still, when my parents compare me to my cousins with their instagram full of group photos with their university friends, smiling, laughing, hanging out, with a grad ceremony picture to fit the rote progression of an average, successful life it really hurts. They had social skills and a good environment; they never struggled as I do. pls dont laugh at this because it's a serious problem i'm dealing with.

I can relate. The only possibly useful advice I can offer is practice and go outside your comfort zone. That and I've come to the realization that interactions with people that aren't worth interacting with are overrated. This goes both ways

Then get out of your condition. Learn how to improve your social skills because, just like u have said, it is important.

Just like being rich. It is HARD because we start as a POOR. our environment is POOR, our parents are POOR, we taught to be POOR.

I see the potential and like you've said before in your previous talk is right, leaving our comfort zone is the answer.

Hahahaha I know you mean well mr lok and everything you say is helpful and many of us are always trying and looking to follow but honestly the truth is, us 97% are broke because of the 3%. Yous make it impossible for us to climb out the hole and make something of ourselves and don’t say it’s just a mindset issue because it isn’t. Mindset is half the problem but the other half is the rich keeping the poor, poor. There wouldn’t be a huge market with massive profit margins if it wasn’t for the 97% of us. Change my mind
And also I know you worked every hard for your money and where you are right now and I won’t say you got lucky because that is an insult too your incredible work ethic but I’ll definitely say luck jumped on your train and helped you find the right stations to stop at. You are 1 in a million and not everyone is gifted with your luck and work ethic and desire to succeed. So when you say anyone can do it, yeah relatively speaking we can but not everyone has the same luck and opportunities that came your way but in saying this I’m gonna give it my best crack and do everything in my power to try and make it but it isn’t as easy as you make it sound.

Mh, I understand what you are saying but I don't necessarily agree. 🤔
Yeah the 97 % make the 3 % rich. But we can always choose not to. We don't have to go to the fast food chain that is owned by a rich person. We could go to a local farmer and by our food there. The only reason why we choose not to do that is convenience. Rich people found a niche that was underserved and made a product or service around it. Anybody could do that.
So I don't see anybody keeping me poor. I just see people who made it and to some I aspire to become more like.
Not saying either of our world views is right or wrong. Both serve a purpose. Mine serves the purpose of helping me grow. What does your worldview serve you? I hope only the best things :)

Classic Earl Nightingale / Dan Pena speech - what I like about Dan Lok is how he has taken and learned from the masters and re-branded it to build himself his own Formula for success.. I would go as far as saying if I had the money and age was on my side I would invest by following and getting trained by Dan for my own success... All the best Dan i will continue to watch and learn from your videos...

I love 3D manufacturing like CNC and 3d printing and had never enough money for a start-up. Always working for a boss since 18 and not enough for investment. Now over 55 Y old. Was never very lucky in business or at work. My first 3d machine never worked properly since day one. Never had a mentor and looking for one or maybe too late. Appreciated your insights and enlightenment. Thanks Dan, you are positive and inspiring.

Hi Dan, you are the mentor that i havent met. I live in a world where i havent heard about you until recently in June 2018. Since then i have been listening to your interviews reading your book FU Money and i can say i have never thought of the money the same way again. It would be an honor to get a chance to meet you. If i can be of any value to you it would be my honor Dan.
Since i came from a family where having a job is everything, I have challenge on how to make money outside of my job. That level of mentally to get paid without any job is a struggle for me.

Definitely #1 and #6 were big for me... but now my perspective has completely changed and although, for me, creating my dreams/vision remains a top priority, I see money and financial abundance as an important and valuable tool and GOOD! Now, I am taking full responsibility, and I know I deserve it, so I am eager to see what I can allow into my life in the future. Doubt or fear of failure does come into my mind from time to time, but less and less as I focus on the abundance waiting for me! Thank you for your videos.
