I have recently begun to learn to play the viola BUT damaged two tendons in my left hand (non musical injury) and have after 18 weeks of playing 1st position on my cello, re-started with the viola. I will be away from my cello for three weeks but will take my viola and your lesson with me. Thank you for your time. 🌹🍵
Thank you for this video. I have a problem when I have to place the third finger after the fourth one in the half steps pattern when for example I go down a scale. Can you help me please ?
Do you mean placing 3 and 4 next to each other? Why not place them down at the same time? Sorry sometimes it's difficult to answer without actually seeing your hand =)
Thank you Inna. I really appreciate your information and plan to use these exercises. I find that after so many years I have lost all the flexibility and muscle strength that I used to have. How can I know how many times to repeat them?
I can't answer this directly here in the comment because I don't know anything about where you are on your journey, etc. This is very individual. Do you take private lessons?

Hope your tendons heal well! It takes a long time but, in the meantime, enjoy the viola. Thank you for watching!

Inna, Wow, these are really tough for my 73 year old fingers. I didn’t know how weak they are. I hope this strengthens them. Thank you for your help.

Not presently. Considering that possibility though. ☺️
Do your own students access and benefit from your video instruction?
If they wish :) It's never "hw" - only recommendation
