    These are progressive exercises that help develop good habits for beginner violinists and violists.
    Lesson break-down:
    00:33 - with flat surface
    02:19 - finger lifts, taps, and trill preps on body of violin
    05:15 - transferring hand to fingerboard
    06:16 - finger lifts, taps, and trill preps in first position
    08:00 - single-finger slides in first position
    09:07 - single-finger glides

    Inna, Wow, these are really tough for my 73 year old fingers. I didn’t know how weak they are. I hope this strengthens them. Thank you for your help.

    Thank you Inna. I really appreciate your information and plan to use these exercises. I find that after so many years I have lost all the flexibility and muscle strength that I used to have. How can I know how many times to repeat them?

      I can't answer this directly here in the comment because I don't know anything about where you are on your journey, etc. This is very individual. Do you take private lessons?

    Thank you for this video. I have a problem when I have to place the third finger after the fourth one in the half steps pattern when for example I go down a scale. Can you help me please ?

      Do you mean placing 3 and 4 next to each other? Why not place them down at the same time? Sorry sometimes it's difficult to answer without actually seeing your hand =)
