In the future, should you need to de-rust the inside of a tank, house hold grade vinegar will work. It will just take a couple of days instead of minutes. The advantage of vinegar is you can pour it out onto the ground without causing an environmental crisis and it will not pose a burn or poison hazard to you. Some hardware stores will have "industrial grade" vinegar which is just regular vinegar at 30 % solution. Grocery store vinegar is 5% solution. The stronger solution will work faster than the weaker grade.

2 things to help next time that I have learned building my bikes. 1. Use piston ring pliers to remove and put on the stupid exhaust ring clamp thing. 2. You can put the exhaust gasket in backwards with the flat side out and it will compress to be just like the thin flat ones. 🤗

I use diesel after muratic acid with the metal bb for a bbgun to get in the nooks and cranny’s works like a dream and coats it’s all with a oil like film to stop flash rust 🤘🏼🤘🏼🏁

@@Rif_Leman because i get parts chromed in Mexico? I dunno where you’re located but I’m in Southern California. The majority of our chrome shops are gone due to government over regulation. There’s only a handful left and if those i only know of two that do quality work worth paying for.
