In this tutorial I will show you how to play Matt "Guitar" Murphy's intro to "Sweet home Chicago" (as played in the "Blues Brothers " movie soundtrack) - on a 10 hole diatonic harmonica! I am playing a Seydel "Solist pro" harmonica in the key of A (the song is in E, so I am playing in 2nd position)
I'm having a great time learning this. Thank you very much.
Glad you enjoyed it - thanks for watching!
Nice one mate! I’ve been playing this for years, but you just taught me how I might refine my version a bit.
The crazy thing about being able to blow a bit of harp, say at a blues jam, is that it instantly makes you the “Front Man” of any given band! Especially if you can holler out some lyrics a bit too.
It can really piss off some sax players, (for example), they spend years practicing that expensive, heavy and delicate instrument and having to learn to read music and nobody gives a shit…Then up steps the hero of the hour, whips out his trusty Special 20 and steals the show! Haha!
yep 😎. But it's fun when you can show 'em that your little "toy" can make a big sound, too
Great vid. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks!
Thanks, Were can I find the harmonica tabs for this song?
@@matigotman9532 not sure, I just do it the way I demonstrated...
