The chess Nerd is out here crushing chess AND creating new words 😅. That blue blunder was so interesting and exciting to watch, what a brilliant move! Playing a new chess opening in a game for the first time is daunting for me, it's wild you could do so in a tournament and win! Especially one you have never really played before. Congrats on the win.! 🎉
I think it's not really a worse benoni for white because Nf3 is a very normal move in that position and the idea is to go Nd2 Nc4 at some point and push f4 anyways.
However you are right tho, i recently also played an otb game with this exact idea of avoiding the taimanov variation with f4, since it is pretty annoying to face. Nf3 is the most popular approach, but imo less dangerous@@thechessnerd
@@jezierskioliwier2212 It's a move that looks like a blunder, but is actually brilliant in its properties to reverse the "blunder" inducing opponent moves.
Love the Benoni, it's such a fun line. Nimzo/Benoni is a relatively known mix for the people that don't like early ... d5 lines but want to avoid the Taimanov. It's more common against 3. g3 since Black is completely fine against the Fianchetto in the Benoni.
Lemme get this straight. If thats okay, cause im kinda new to chess. Just wondering, that the term "Blue Blunder" means you made a brilliant move that you played by mistake? Im kinda confused. Can you please elaborate?
Of course, and your question is pertinent if you are a Super GM because it’s completely new from this video: A Blue Blunder is a move that looks like a completely blunder (i.e. it looks losing due to some obvious/eye-catching winning move or combination by the opponent) but is actually a brilliant move because not only it counteracts the opponent’s winning possibilities, but it also creates (or is a) winning tactics for you!
I am 2004 fide rating I play benoni the way you do and I saw it on Rustam Kasmindzanov's course called benoni is back in business Good luck on the tournament and much love from Serbia
Fantastic video! Fresh opening, nice calculations and decisions, all very well put together. Hopefully you didn't have time pressure haha. Good luck in next games Zahc!
You know few months ago i was frustrated and thinking about quitting chess but then i saw your beat me get 100 dollar video and it inspired me a lot and at that time i was 500 and now i am 1400 rated player much love from me and also nice vieo
Please don't play Benoni against a smaller opponent with 400 Elo points. It's too dangerous. When you become Grandmaster you will be able to play Benoni anytime and anywhere.
Blue Blunder at 12:52
Bobby Fischer in the World Chess Championship round 3 played the benoni defence with this exact move order.
no wayyyyyyyyy Made My Day!!!
Fabiano Caruana also has some games like this.
Benoni Defense: Modern, Classical Variation
1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 c5 3.d5 e6 4.Nc3 exd5 5.cxd5 d6 6.e4 g6 7.Nf3 Bg7
(13. h3 is the first deviation from the opening book. That's pretty impressive stuff!)
