  • Here is a rambling video about turning some scap lead into handy sized ingots using a mini muffin pan. I am by no means an expert on casting, in fact I would say I'm a beginner at this point so follow along on my foray into a new hobby. If you have any suggestions or tips, please share!

Great video! This will definitely come in handy. I just got a mold so that I can cast some slingshot ammo.

Another hobby that I went down the rabbit hole with. Hopefully getting a Lee 18 cavity 00 buckshot mold soon. I have about 220# of wheel weight lead so rough estimate, ~25,000 .330" lead balls (8.4mm) which weigh about the same as 3/8" steel. Some will be used for pistol bullets but right now, I'm having more fun with the slingshots.

Wow good to see people still melting lead and I assume your doing it for bullets. I also melt lead and cast bullets but not as much now a days. (I have a Lee's melting pot)
Your video makes me want to get back into it now haha..
Actually I found your channel bay accident. I have a YT channel that melts metals and I was doing some YT research and found yours.
Amazing video! Subbed and liked and supporting our small YT community!
I may just get back into melting lead and bullets because of your video!
    Keep it up! 👍

Thanks for the comment! I am primarily going to be casting .50 and .44 round balls for black powder purposes!
