I got the same reaction as you. I am really glad those sold well. This year I only bought two skins, and they were Gragas KDA and Choo Choo Ornn. Riot is better when they don't take themself too serious

Don’t think it’s just the skins, a lot of monster champs have kits that just aren’t interesting to most players so a lot of people don’t even want to play them to begin with let alone buy skins like other than kha zix and I guess naafiri I can’t think of many monster champions that people are actually excited to play unless they’re meta

From the lay offs it seems like they fired a whole group of 3d modelers and outsourced 3d models on another company or another group of 3d modelers (a rioter that was laid off said the the dark star or dark cosmic skin line last year are all outsourced from another company except Dark cosmic sylas)
If you think about that the Arcane Skins just came out and are mostly in the Top 10, you know they were mostly insanely good...plus Arcane hype of course

I didnt expect Project Naffiri to be in top 100 but that skin is one of the best selling skins this year ! Also Arcane Legendaries to Viktor and Jayce. They were added at the end of the year and are the most selling skins. Arcane is so successfull though :D

I'm fine with riot creating Chinese themes for a skin, but at least create a new thematic or revisit some old thematic and do it right this time. People are tired of seeing random champs in all different universe of skins. That doesn't fit them.
i was so happy seeing ornn so high up on the list, i dont play ornn i dont even play top lane i am an adc main but there are champs i really wish riot gave some love ornn is one of them all the ornn on my team have been this really calming presence when i am around them in a teamfight. hope theres more!
It's really crazy to see some skin like FC Lux or Infernal Ashe to be that high cause they were lazy af, same for the Porcelain batch (especially the MF one). Only good news is that most joke skins did well and Jayce legendary skin that is the best legendary in a long time (far better than irelia's lazydary last year)
It surprises me but it's not something I couldn't understand why... It's an Arcane skin + Legendary + Good design skin/abilities/model/voice ... Nothing about the skin falling apart like it usually happens with other legendary skins
The fact Infernal and Darkstar couldn’t even break into top 50 is a sign to leave them in the past and forget they existence. PROJECT and KDA can return though thank you❤️

Because what makes the skin sell is not the opinion of the entire LoL community... but the fact that its target market buys it... be it mains of the champion, people who like anime skins for example when skins of that style come out... people who like edgy when those skins come out... or a specific server like when they release themes related to "Dia de Muertos" or "Chinese New Year" for the market of specific parts of the world and specific servers

porcelain is a Chinese theme, so it's logical. And the infernal ones really surprised
I bought infernal Karma just for the fiery effects and I love it.
