First of all Nalgians are interdimensional species, they're not present only in 1 single dimension but in multiples. They are highly advanced that even their child's toys are on higher lvl of alien tech than omnitrix itself, means if their toys had any dna than still omnitrix couldn't have scanned even them. And simply Nalgians > Celestialsapians! 3. Yes it can but only if the creature is from 1st 3 dimensions, it can't scan any 4th dimensional creatures (Nalgians) or 5th dimensional creatures (Contumelia). 4. Heatblast was made to be iconic alien to boost the series initial performance we can say in sense of pokemon heatblast is Charizard of Ben 10 😂. Swampfire was designed to be an epic alien who has diversity and alot of utility to help toughen his alien roster up. In simple pokemon sense having a single type isn't bad like heatblast, but if there is a Pokemon who has dual type of grass with fire it adds more utility and provides better field diversity in fights.

So he can survive the scenario you mentioned, because we saw him extended and relocate himself.
