    You are on point, even small Khechari can lift you up if you establish the pathway and bridge for energy. I also find parallels to mula, uddiyana and jalandhara bandhas in that the prana is drawn upwards. Physical positioning is a secondary thing and your video is summarized well. Thank you.

    Yes, I have experienced these. This is a very good post! Thank you so much. I don't mind spending the rest of my life attempting to do proper khechari, however, I am not sure I really need to, though it is routine. Especially when we hear of these second generation kriya babies doing full khechari spontaneously without any working knowledge of kriya yoga, if such a thing is even possible! ;)

    I think I've done this instinctively before by feeling into the medulla. There seems to be an interesting energetic thing going on between the second proof and the medulla, and at times it does feel like bliss is dripping out of the brain, or something higher up, between these. My problem with even a baby kechari is that I feel the second proof the most reliably out of all of them, and I feel it very nicely in the tongue when I have it right against my teeth, contacting the hard palate in the front of my mouth. It weakens when I pull the tongue away, and I also have some blockages in the chest and throat that messing with the tongue exacerbates. This is a fascinating alternative.

    I tried cutting of frenulum twice by maxillo facial surgeons, first by laser and later by manual surgery. I had a difficult post operative period. Following normalisation, I realised that I am back to zero. But continued practice has helped me touch uvula but I still don't feel relaxed and it puts my temporalis and masseters in a permanent state of contraction leading to more stress. Kindly guide.

    • @ForrestKnutson

      This might sound like a "negative" comment. But my suggestion would be to leave this entire process alone for a while (perhaps a year) until clarity arises. I have gotten blowback for trying to force many things before their time. Your tongue will heal. Do not force.

    I have problems even to just bring my tongue back, now matter how much I tried.
    00:23 It must be the geometry of my mouth not allowing me to do this. I wonder why there is not a soft tool already invented to achieve this with it instead of your tongue though.
    8:08 I believe it works because whatever we do starts with imagining it first. It might take some time but this is possible for me to achieve.
    Thank you very much for your video and I would say "practical" wisdom shared.

    If you raise your tongue slowly… you’ll feel a place where it tingles, it’s right before you get all the way up and in between hard and soft. If you lick it, it feels like a Pearl. It’s a Dragon Pearl thing.
    Also The Pineal Gland is designed to pop open. Amrita begins to flow once it’s fully opened, for that your exercises to raise the vibration within you and condense it down into a singular point. The fluid tastes bitter at first, you’ll also notice a strange dryness in the upper part of the throat. Once it gets unblocked you’ll start to taste a metallic taste at first… eventually it’s gonna start to taste like milk and honey, that is literally how it tastes.
    Be warned Amrita is DMT, when it fully turns on you are swamped with the impressions. The Upanishads help one to understand the things… also The Bhagavad Gita helps too. The world may be sped up and you will lose who you are. Your identification dissolves and you become your pure awareness. It’s like an explosion to your being, an oblivion that you’re venturing in. Be a Noble person in that process… when you lay down and it’s pouring out of the gland you can feel it coming down your throat and it feels like it’s filling your lungs. Drop into The 4th Phase of Breathe, slow your breath and focus… when you hit the breathe where you can’t tell if you’re breathing or not… rest there. Let yourself go to Death by Sleep.
    Just some further insight from my experience. It was a wild time.

    I love your enthusiasm and levity, Forrest! While doing the "sipping" technique, I started to salivate like crazy. The same thing happens when I do the HRVR breathing while my tongue is resting. I have no idea why that is. Any clue? Thanks again for sharing!

    • @ForrestKnutson
      @ForrestKnutson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      When the body enters into HRV Resonance, the sinus passages start producing hormonal content and proteins. This very useful secretion is usually shut down, but reappears as the body enters rest. It can cause more saliva flow as well. It seems you entered into rest with this technique very quickly. 🤩🤩🙏

    Does this affect the shambavi mudra?

  • @preservedforce3786
    @preservedforce3786 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hello sir!
    I am 16 years old and I can do khechari mudra quite easily. I did stretched my tongue backwards in my mouth continuously for months until pain appears in the frenelum (and tongue). I would thought pain = something is wrong is going on, which causes me to stop rolling my tongue backwards. I before knowing all this wanted to see if the tongue go can up into the head, yes I thought it was impossible. I practice talabya kriya even today even though it seems unnecessary. I've been unknowingly doing talabya kriya for years and the adults and children around me found me weird and says I have some mental disorder or so.
    I'd say I'm doing this for 2/3 years so far.
    I can go beyond the uvula, up into the nasal pharynx and feel what's up there.
    There is this soft area directly above my nasal septum when I press my tongue on it, it triggers this burning sensation or it feels like 'electricity' at the tip of my tongue. I can go even higher than that, I go as high up that I feel this flat area or what is referred to as the 'roof'. I can slightly go pass it and I feel bumps and then this void. That's it, I can't make my tongue ascend any further.
    I looked in a lot of sources for information on khechari when I found out it is a very difficult and advanced mudra for a while now. The sources are the wiki, TH-cam, various websites, comments, and so on.
    I played with my tongue a lot during my lifetime. I also know about the liquid that flow down from the roof of your nasal pharynx and the effects of this powerful liquid. This is called amrita or nectar. So far I think I have not tasted this liquid although saliva does build up a lot in my mouth when I do khechari.
    The thing is, the effects of this liquid are so powerful I don't think I should even try absorb it when it is sweet anytime because I am not prepared I believe.
    Question, I've come this far so should I stop or continue? I don't do yoga nor meditation or what is referred to as sadhana.

    Dear friend! It's a translation error. In the original Sanskrit, the back of the tongue was translated as the tip of the tongue. Putting the top or the tip of the tongue against the hard palate during meditation or throughout the day is quite sufficient. The sole purpose of Khechari Mudra is to transmit electricity from the underlying body to the pineal gland to stimulate pineal development and activity. Namaste! 😇
