    Nice video and a great technique. Why did you mention that wire leader is not good, is there a specific reason? Normally I use wire while targetting pelagics obviously because their bite. Welll, great video as always! Thx

      Use wire if you want. Because metal slices are a fast retrieve we tend to get them in the corner of the mouth. But trolled baits or lures definitely wire.

      Rock Lee don’t know sorry. Because we retrieve fast weight is not really an issue. I use size/length for different species and conditions rather than weight.

    Hi Ryan what's the weight of the slice?

    • @RyanMoodyFishing
      @RyanMoodyFishing  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pedro Mon we mainly use by sizes not weights depending on what size mackerel you want to catch.

    Hi Ryan, what type of metal do you use to make your own slices?

    • @RyanMoodyFishing
      @RyanMoodyFishing  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi David I use stainless steel cut and then kinked at both ends.

    hi Ryan thanks for the video, what size reel and gearing would you recommend. I used an 8000 baitrunner last time out and it was far too slow. They got close took a look and left it

    • @RyanMoodyFishing
      @RyanMoodyFishing  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was using a Quantum Cabo 40 which is 5.3:1 although there are faster reels on the market. Sure the higher speed the easier it is.
