Heii all my power plant gyani subscriber today we discussed a requested which is requested by our youtube subscriber's as well as my facebooks groups members their question is that " HOW TO CALCULATE AFBC (Atmospheric Fluidized Bed Combustion ) BOILER BED HIGHT" in this video I briefly discussed about the method of HOW TO CALCULATE AFBC (Atmospheric Fluidized Bed Combustion ) BOILER BED HIGHT
fluidization of bed depends upon bed height . a shallow bed offers a lower bed resistance and hence a lower pressure drops and lower fan power consumption .in case deep the pressure drops is more and increases the effective air velocity and also fan power.
initial bed height is maintained up to 250 to 300 mm. out of this bed height around 100 mm bed does not participate in fluidization. this layer is called as static layers. this static layer of bed material protects the distributor plate from the high temperature of the furnace. 150 to 200 mm bed ( above air nozzle level ) is available for fluidization. during operation 200 to 300 mm bed height is maintained ( excluding 100 mm static bed height).During fluidization bed expands up to 1500 mm. bed tubes are immersed in this expanded bed to maintained required bed temperature.
WE DISCUSSED HERE TWO METHOD FOR HOW TO CALCULATE AFBC (Atmospheric Fluidized Bed Combustion ) BOILER BED HIGHT
1. measure the pressure drop across the DP plate without a bed .
2. measure pressure drops across DP plate and fluidized bed.

Hello brother I have one doubt, in our plant there is TF heater, but I cannot know the furnace pressure, FD fan have capacity 600mmwc and ID fan have 400 mmwc and fd fan dampers maintaining 60% opening. Please give me some idea to know the furnace pressure.
