    Speed, engineering, Italian style and a whole lot of WOW factor is what sums up the Centouno Navi Vespro. This is a machine that will cruise easily at 40kts and sit on a fast cruise of 50kts with more speed to play with!
    The driving experience is like nothing i've tested before and all I can say is that I want another day on this boat. It's amazing!

    Those lines are as smooth as hot butter. The combination of excitement, gestures and the accent in the bow presentation I got some Steve Irwin vibes and it really clicked why the videos on this channel stand out.

    What a dream boat. Would have loved if it had a sunroof as well but probably not technically possible to keep rigidity. Very expensive but if i could, i would!

      I understand that a lot of aerodynamics went into that roof design so that may complicate air flow

    Beautiful boat truly a unique design. The inverse aero under the windscreen remind me of the larger Riva boats. The "hood ornament" horn looks more silly than stylish to me. Great tour as allways, just a pitty that the banding and bitrate video quality problems didn't do justice to the interrior.

      Yeah I don’t know how to fix that yet. Some internal lights really screw with the footage quality

  • @battlehymn6389
    @battlehymn6389 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    The interior layout is exceptional for a 55'. Not sure if you stated the length.
    So the thing with jets is that as you back off the thrust you lose maneuverability. For instance, if you are at idle and crank the wheel to lock in one direction you'll see very little response because there is little to no thrust from the jets. This can be moderated by some designs, but for low speed maneuvering jets are not the best.
    Jets are basically a nozzle (like on a fire hose) that moves horizontally, there is a bucket which can be lowered to give you reverse ... this is what directs your thrust ... typically there is no rudder, so you can see that as you lower the thrust, you also lower your maneuverability. Yes, this is a very simplistic overview.
    One other thing about jets that should be noted is that you should be very deliberate when mooring. You should never moor with the bow downstream, this can allow debris to flow into the jets. If you do have to moor downstream drop the buckets. Make sure someone is ready to dive to clear the jets and water inlet, all sorts of marine vegetation is your worst enemy ... watch the Grand Tour for an example.

    • @tomconnors8165
      @tomconnors8165 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I am far from an expert but am going to disagree that jets are not the best for low speed manoeuvrability. In my limited experience, a jet ski even without a bucket is much easier to change direction at low speed vs even an outboard and way more vs any rudder system. Some of the most manoeuvrable boats are jet drive for that reason like pilot boats and tugs. A jet does not need to be moving in water to get any directional control over a rudder like other traditional drives excluding IPS or Azipod type drives.
      The force, and it's direction is contained entirely in the jet itself and does not need it's outlet in the water to be fully effective. The force comes from the velocity change of the water. Pivot the chamber and you pivot the force. What you do need is volume. So low engine speed results in low authority of control. With a bucket you can keep your engine speed and the volume or flow up to where the maneuverability is unmatched. You can have neutral handling at full engine speed and not have to reduce rpm then change gears.
      Twin jets with buckets is instant response to inputs and is very precise. See Hinkley boats as an example of ease of low speed control. The down side of big power jet drives is it takes a ton of volume to go with the outlet sized to match the power so you do not get an big increase in range at low speed because you end up as pump drive untill the flow is restricted to get the velocity change.
      This is mostly just conjecture from what I have picked up, so I hope someone else can weigh in and break the tie.

      @@tomconnors8165 You aren't wrong, we are talking about significantly different scales of watercraft and jet designs. My experience is from very large boats outfitted with jet drives (much larger than 55') .. which is why I gave a very simplistic and general overview. I know guys with twin jet Yamaha center consoles that have modified their jets simply because of the response at low engine RPM.

    • @BoatLife_DansBoatLife
      @BoatLife_DansBoatLife  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I’m no expert with jets so will listen to you guys and just drive as many jet drives I can get my hands on now to see what we can learn

      @MarcoArnaboldi-mc5qc 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Hi, these kind of jets are really different. they guarantee lot of trust even at idle rpms for the special pump design. I build and design jet boats from 55 up to 150 feet both pleasure than military since 1992 and i can say that no other propulsion systems are so easy and efficient to manouvre,

      It's an ultra fast med boat so I wouldn't go trying to run her at those top speeds in the ocean off Australia for example. She'll handle plenty but you need to remember her main purpose is as a summer boat with crazy speed potential. That is generally going to mean you run fast on the beautiful days and avoid the bad days. Check out their website for enclosed designs

    • @BoatLife_DansBoatLife
      @BoatLife_DansBoatLife  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think the idea behind technology like the joystick is to open boats like this up to a wider market. Most of the guy who can afford one of these will not have experience driving them so it makes good business sense to allow them to master it quickly. Otherwise you’re limiting your market to commercial, military etc

    • @paulmahy
      @paulmahy 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@BoatLife_DansBoatLife Agreed, but I still maintain the skipper of a boat should be able to handle it competently using the primary controls. A guy who can afford a boat like this, might not want to get burdened with a court case, when his skipper damages another vessel or person, because he couldn't manoeuvre it adequately.
