In a few weeks i will get a new wheelchair and i cant wait to buy a freewheel it wil be the first possibillity for me to make a "walk"in the forest in 3 years!!!!
Oooh this was great Ben! I’m looking for ways to be able to get out more and engage with the natural world and this might be the ticket. I have a motorised add on but it’s for urban use and isn’t any good for “off road” adventures. I think this might be my next purchase. Thanks for this great review! 👏☺️
I don't know if you still look at the comments, but I'm being fitted for a better wheelchair at the beginning of the month, I hope this will fit on it as it looks great! I had a bit of trouble hearing what you said due to the music, but I can see it's an awesome piece of equipment. Thanks for sharing.
Hey I always read the comments! I'm glad you're being fitted for a new chair! Have a try of different ones because some work better than others depending on your situation ☺️
Freewheel is great but should be half the price!! I could understand somewhat when they started out, however now that these are mass produced and there’s nothing particularly expensive or high tech, the profiteering is inexcusable.
I'm not trying to defend them but it's totally within their rights to price it how they want to. If people still buy them then why would they reduce the price. That's capitalism for you. The competition that's come along since hasn't come in any cheaper
@@AdaptToPerform Sure, it's within their rights and yes, thats capitalism. It's also unethical in a world that is becoming more attuned to the ethics of any company. There is a huge history in the wheelchair and related industry of exploiting the market, and in many cases by disabled business owners themselves. A certain spanish company comes to mind. Powered front wheels for $5000 quid !! And yes, everybody follows suit. You run the price of any of these powered add-ons past anyone in the electric bike industry, and they fall over in disbelief. Same with wheelchairs. Why does this happen? Follow the money. The industry caters to a market largely funded by insurance and payouts. So if you have one of these behind you, you can basically buy what you want no matter what the cost. It's just too bad for anyone who isn't that fortunate, and there are many. Unfortunately there's not enough real competition or market share to cause this to be resolved, so it is the way it is.
Love my Freewheel - fantastic video, great job showing its versatile ability. Love the channel as well - just a recent subscriber - keep up the great content, cheers mate
I'm sorry to hear. They do have adaptions for various footplates. Always worth seeing if something is compatible first. Not every Wheelchair is the same
Não entendo nada do que fala! Más gosto do FREEWHEEL todo cadeirante brasileiro DEVIA ter direito a ter um desse seria a possibilidade de não depender tanto de outras pessoas 🙌🙏
Great video Ben! We're so glad to see that you enjoyed the Freewheel!
I look forward to my future adventures with it!
Great video Ben, and it is much appreciated, however for the future as far as editing is concerned the music is FAR too loud.
Thanks for the feedback I'm still learning how to do all of it!
@@AdaptToPerform yep, definitely ditch the music...
Gratzi..... Been curious about these for a long time now. Thank you for the trusted review.
My pleasure 😊

@@AdaptToPerform
Ok thanks
I see you're using a Quickie Helium. I've heard the Freewheel breaks the plastic footrest of the Helium. Has this ever happened to you?
Never happened to me ✌️
I ordered one a few years ago, had to send it back as my chair doesn't have the right foot plate for it, pretty disappointing

Hola como lo puedo conseguir soy de costa rica y estoy en silla 👨🦼 cuanto vale
The background music is a complete distraction and is an accessibility issue for people with sensory impairments.
I wasn't very good at making videos when I made this. Getting better all the time
Darn im in the USA i have to find something here but great educational video
They sell these there!
I cannot hear anything through the music!
This is an old video when I was still learning. Much better audio in my newer videos
Great, but to expensive. Ty
Agreed but it is cheaper than the electric versions which can be completely out of people's reach
Wish Medicare could help 🙄 it's hard to save anything these days
Music is way too loud.
