I've actually never watched this show, and seeing how different it is compared to the Madagascar movies and the spinoff show with the penguins, this upped the adult jokes by A TON. If I had never known these characters were from an animated Dreamworks kids film franchise, I would have assumed they were from an adult comedy franchise because the sexual innuendos are everywhere, and I love it. I'm amazed with how many gay jokes there are, and it basically being canon that Mort is gay and lusting after Julien.
I love how in the movies Mort was shown as just having a weird obsession with his king and attraction was only maybe implied, and then in the cartoon they just made him fully gay lol
