Did you get any sense of what difference it made, having the guns 50m up? Apart from the shelter use. Must've taken a lot of labour and materials to make them.
Cheers, I am glad you liked the video. I'm not really sure to be honest, we've been talking about it on Twitter and the only conclusion is that Hitler liked big things, so big they were. I think concrete was diverted from other more important projects to make the and the labour was from Jewish prisoners, so health and safety wasn't a primary concern.
