We used to sell regularly at car boots (RIP studley carboot) we would drive the van on to the field park it up and go for a picking session it avoided the rush and the inevitable thefts, we still sold pretty much everything 😁

32 years ago I went to a car boot sale with my girlfriend, Wasn't bad we did £80 in 3 hours which back then was pretty good.Looked at my girlfriend and said there must be some money in organising these things. 2 months later I was running 9 sites a week with a rent of £900 a week with wet weather clauses built in my contract, half a dozen members of staff and I was doing £400 per hour net after all of my expenses for being a glorified car parking attendant. My job collecting the money of course. All of the heavy lifting I designated out to my employees. Best money I made in my life that was but you know what it is like, you're young and stupid, think you're invincible convinced you can move on to bigger and better business prospects, fritter the money away like confetti and before you know it in you jump to start another business.
Isn’t it funny that your selling all your items that failed to sell on eBay. Then most if not all of the people buying it are going to put it on eBay to try and sell it themselves.

He also passed her something to put in her bag. I hate thieves. They need locking up 😡
This is exactly how my son started 15 years ago know and he’s still doing it and he also runs another business he has once you know all hacks and all other stuff that goes with reselling it’s awesome it’s definitely in my sons blood he loves it. Mate, I did a summer of selling at booters years back and it was the same , why do they open it to public at same time as sellers? It done my head right in almost had a proper meltdown 🤣🤣 Fair play you coped with the madness well, I'll never sell at a booter again lol 👍
The lady who was buying all of the shoes may have been sending them abroad. I gave alot of clothing , shoes to a lady,she would wait till she could fill a big drum up then they go by cargo. She would send things to poor families. So may not be trying to resell 😊
you need two friends up front keeping an eye on things. You cannot deal with more than 2 people at a time and keep an eye on who is adding extras to their bags.
Women in black hair with glasses with her 2 eastern European men on the right stole from you as she stuff led some bottoms in her bag. When the guy bought the bottoms she very quickly stuffed them in the bag very very quickly. Manic and need 12 pairs of eyes. Just watched it again and she also stole 2 blue tops as well right in front of you!! Should have taken that extra £5 for all the stuff she stole
Just noticed the couple that got the jogger bundle was looking again after they paid and put a pair of blue joggers in another bag and took off 😮 gotta keep an eye out I guess
Never put all your kit out at once, If I have as much as you guys had I'd put it out in two lots, I'd put the best stuff out first in a easy to look over numuber because I guarantee you lost a lot of items in rhat crowd.
@@rollsyresellsJust a little suggestion, with your clothes, get another rail, some spring clip hangers(if your selling trousers or tracksuit bottoms) and put the Rail BEHIND your stall, as you have it laid out there, as your busy with other people it's so easy for someone to nick some clothes and you not notice, so that's why I suggested getting another rail and putting both rails behind the stall, if people want to look they have to ask.
I noticed those combats he folded never made a reappearance either. I'd even guess you lost something from behind the rail. Sod having that thief by an open door at the side of your car.

My best piece of advice if you’re looking to buy at the boot sale is to bring as much change as possible! Makes it a lot easier than waiting around for change or the seller not having enough change…
