Honestly, that dash mechanic is nice, but it doesn't improve his performance that much or fix any of his main issues. Outside of passing through thin walls without needing a target, it has no other noticeable uses (using the dash for moving around like Mai's passive is kinda redundant because of Skill 1's mov spd). Having said that, i wouldn't say no to any buff for Dian Wei. Hot take, i don't think they should turn him into a powerhouse meta pick or anything like that. I like how simple his skillset is. At the end of the day, DW is the perfect hero for players who just started or changed role to jungler and tried to learn stuffs like jungling efficiency or item timings
Well knowing that now he is being picked in KPL now i think it definetly helped him. I just dont know how to correctly use his passive, like we need to wait for enemies to CC us for the passive to work, and if we do that we might get burst down by their carries first and our job as a jglr to kill them first but if we do it we must use all our skill and when they all CD we got CC'ed, yeah the carries is dead but we never got more than 1 stack of passive from ult. Can anyone gave me tips on how to utilize his passive?
@@edwardsutherland8240Yeah but it's not the same. You see some heroes with unique BAs or mechanics can use them without a target. Luban No.7, Gao, Mozi can all gain stacks on their passive by just hitting the air. We also have heroes like Mai, who you can use her EBA to jump through a wall without needing her S1 or Ult. Dian Wei's EBA in the global server will only make Dian Wei stay in place as he spins around. Meanwhile, CN version of this EBA actually allows him to move through walls similar to Mai's. Dian Wei can hit nothing and dashes forward with it something you can't do in global. Idk why you didn't understand it the first time since the video already explained it. Maybe if you need a visual representation, then go see any recent Dian Wei gameplays played on CN server. You'll see those players abuse the dash mechanic on Dian Wei's EBA from S1.

Dian wei also get stack from buffs and creeps. I don't know why.

@@sithuthein2216 pig jungle creeps have slow debuff.. cleanse debuff using dian wei skill gave him stack its not a bug

@@axelerater his passive is just somewhat a random occurrence that you can use sometimes
