- In my opinion, the Niesmann Bischoff iSmove is the most attractive motorhome on the market as far as the internal layout is concerned. The iSmove is however also over engineered which leads to all sorts of electrical and other breakdowns internally. In this video, I show you the internal layout of the iSmove whilst also telling you of the many problems the vehicle has. I hope that this problems will be resolved as the iSmove is, without doubt in my opinion, the most desirable motorhome on the market.
I live in a motorhome full time and travel around Europe in it. I spend most of my time in Poland, Germany and Italy. Vanlife is my life.

I do this by regularly attending trade events such as CMT Stuttgart, Abenteuer und Allrad, Caravan Salon Dusseldorf, Warsaw Caravan and Camping Show and sometimes others.
I cover equipment, including 12v electrical equipment and talk a lot about lithium batteries.
I also show some of the places I have visited in Europe in my own motorhome, as well as the places you can stay at! I try to give as much coverage as I can to official campsites and free places which I use for overnighting. Therefore you can find here the aire or stellplatz that you are possibly looking for.

We are owed Affinity 7 months now and problems with cupboards locks...all problems appear on third month use..we use not even every weekend, some of them need open with 2 hands , and still can't open 😢 , also fridge get frost on same day when we turned on..., just waiting reply from our dealer ...

Thanks for telling me Sergey - I will talk to the manufacturer about this. The problem with the locks should not happen - I don't know who manufacturers the ones used in Affinity but I will ask. As for the fridge, I think this is Dometic, so I will bring that up with them too!

Hi, your claims that there are reliability issues with this motorhome are not very specific. We have our ISmove now for about a year, traveled about 15.000 km with it and only one real issue which was linked to the Fiat engine (broken emision particle sensor). For the motorhome part we had in the first few weeks some theeting problems. All could be solved en route. One needs to get familiar with such a vehicle. It is advanced and in some ways complex, so it takes some time. We really love our campervan and can only recommend it.

We (family of 4)are trying to decide between an ISmove 6.9 and a Adria Sonic Supreme 700sl and would love opinions of anyone who has experience with both or either? I am beginning to think that playing it safer with a more standard Adria might be better than buying the ISmove, which clearly has my heart, as I think the design is terrific. Alan, what do you think?
I would hope the manufacturer makes on going improvements regards faults and software. It is clearly an beautiful van and I would bring up my concerns with the manufacturer and see what they say. Of course with any new product there will always be teething problems, but, its how the sellers deal with them and the associated service that counts. What a beautiful design that is....

I think it’s innovative to have that shower and toilet combination but will the wall jam after multiple sliding? Also the shelf that can be lowered is good for hiding valuables but will it jam up too after sliding multiple times? Technology is good but too much of it is bad at times. Then again, if it’s expensive I assume it doesn’t break down easily?
Is there a motorhome satisfaction index anywhere?
There's a lot to go wrong in a motorhome if you ask me.
Niessmann and Bischoff did numerous updates to this camper since it’s launch. So most of the problems should be solved now. I will get a new one in June, so I’ll be able to report on this from 1st hand in a few months. They are selling like crazy, there is a waiting list of 2 years if you want to get one.
That sounds great Samuel - the vehicle is a work of art in my opinion and I hope that these problems will be resolved. Another viewer reported having only one problem after several months use and that was a problem to do with the chassis if memory serves me correctly.
Samuel- how is the camper? Did they fix the issues?
My very best wishes to anyone who is awaiting delivery of an iSmove. However, I am sad to say that Alan Heath has summed this vehicle up correctly. I loved the design so much that I bought one. It proved to be a very costly mistake. The problems started the day we picked it up and the list of issues grew and grew over the following weeks; right up until the dealer took it back three months later.
The iSmove is an incredible design, very poorly executed. Just as disappointing is that when things go wrong, Niesmann & Bischoff's involvement is conspicious by it's absense.

I was close to spending money until I saw your review, such a huge disappointment.
It doesn't matter how great looking the design is,
if it doesn't work its worthless and more over Dangerous even life threatening.

I don't think I would go as far as to say dangerous but certainly very disappointing. I wrote to Niesmann + Bischoff outlining the problems in September 2021 (50 weeks before this was filmed) and needless to say, I did not get an answer. I really think I tried on this one Fraser!

this is after all supposed to be a high end vehicle and as such I would expect top quality and reliability as standard, that is after all what your paying a premium for.

@@frasercunningham278 I can't explain this Fraser but having previously also been the publisher of business magazines, I noticed the same thing there too. I have always tried to be fair and point out problems, I believe in treating others and one would have them treat oneself. However, at the end of the day, my loyalty has to be to my viewers and not to potential advertisers.

Where was the shower?
The whole wall in the bathroom slides to create shower mode, tricky to do one handed though
before you shoot such a video you should take a closer look at the functions in the motorhome. Then you don't stand there and fold up the cupboards without folding the mattress to the side and you also know how the kitchen works and where the fridge is. If you talk about problems then you should be able to name them specifically. I don't think the video is that good.

Check. Avoid this brand. Build quality is probably the most important feature of any van. That mattress looks like spinal suicide as well...

i dont understand the complaining if things break or fall apart... if you can spend $150k on a motorhome you can afford the few $$ it takes to fix it...........
The problem is not the money to fix it, but the time wasted… which often can’t be converted to money…
But thats the point why are you paying 150 grand if the quality is shit? You dont buy a mercedes expecting it to die the next day lol, the whole reason it is expensive is its supposed to be higher quality than competitors.
@@roslolian11 a brand new iPhone cost more than my phone yet the iPhone has a better chance of the screen breaking or it's earbuds breaking or any of his accessories that are also rather overly expensive breaking but my cheaper phone won't break as easy so many videos of people buying their iPhone for the first time and then dropping it screen first onto the ground and watching it go into smithereens there went 1500 bucks and expensive item that breaks one of many. there are really bad Mercedes bmw audi even lambos that are crap quality that cost a fortune!!! ... but people can afford to buy them so they also have the $$ to fix them
@@markshumaker4135 You are missing the point why you think rich people will buy these brands if they break so easily or have inferior quality? Precisely because they are really rich they don't mind shelling so much money to ensure their things won't break.
@@roslolian11 I said that from the very beginning because they're rich they can afford to buy it and because they can afford to buy it they can afford to fix it so if you're reaching out to buy it there's no sense in complaining about poor quality because you're rich enough to fix it I've been said what you just said right now multiple times.... If someone wants a certain car that's $300,000 then they can afford to fix that $300,000 car if someone wants a $1,500 iPhone then they can afford to fix that $1,500 iPhone they're not going to care if it breaks down
